CRITICAL THINKING• TERM USED BY EDUCATORS TO DESCRIBE FORMS OF LANGUAGE, THOUGHT, AND ANALYSIS THAT GO BEYOND

THE MEMORIZATION AND RECALL OF INFORMATION AND FACTS.

• IN ITS MOST BASIC FORM, IT ALLOWS STUDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO APPLY THEIR OWN THOUGHTS TO SPECIFIC SITUATIONS. IT ALLOWS FOR CREATIVE THOUGHTS TO FLOW TO ASSIST IN FORMING AN ARGUMENT, TO PROBLEM SOLVE AND/OR TO REACH A CONCLUSION.

• ROLE OF 21ST CENTURY EDUCATION USING CRITICAL THINKING, HELPS DEVELOP AND COUNTER ARGUE IN PERSUASIVE ARGUMENTS, EXAMINE CONCEPTS FROM MULTIPLE PERSPECTIVES, QUESTION EVIDENCE AND ASSUMPTIONS TO REACH A VALID CONCLUSION, DEVISE IMAGINATIVE WAYS TO PROBLEM SOLVE, FORMULATE AND ARTICULATE QUESTIONS, AND IDENTIFY THEMES OR PATTERNS TO MAKE ABSTRACT CONNECTIONS.

• POSTERS AND MOVIE MAKER- THIS ITEMS WOULD BE USED TO CREATE A CAMPAIGN AND ADVERTISEMENT TO PRESENT STUDENT IDEAS ABOUT HOW TO SOLVE HUNGER AND POVERTY

• FACEBOOK- STUDENTS WILL LOOK AT OTHER ORGANIZATIONS RELATED TO THE TOPIC, AND CREATE THEIR OWN FACEBOOK PAGE PRESENTING A WAY TO SOLVE HUNGER AND POVERTY.

• ARTS AND BOTS, STUDENTS WILL MAKE AN ROBOT, THAT WILL SIMULATE AN IDEA THEY CAME UP WITH USING CRITICAL THINKING, THAT COULD HELP SOLVE HUNGER AND POVERTY.

CONCLUSION • CRITICAL THINKING IS NOT ONLY ESSENTIAL IN EDUCATION, BUT IS USED IN THE WORLD

EVERYWHERE IN TODAYS GLOBAL SOCIETY.

• BY USING TECHNOLOGY, YOU CAN RELATE TO STUDENTS, AND HELP DEVELOP THEIR CRITICAL THINKING METHODS AND ABILITIES.

• THERE IS A PLETHORA OF 21ST CENTURY TOOLS THAT CAN BE UTILIZED FOR CRITICAL THINKING, RANGING FROM FACEBOOK TO PHOTOSHOP
