The basis for learning relates to experience or error

Adults need to be aware and responsible for their own learning

Adults like to learn if something is relevant to their life

Adults learn when there is a gap between the current state of things versus the desired state of things

Adults respond to learning in a more positive fashion when the motivation is within themselves as opposed to external reasons

Relax and Renew—Restorative Yoga We work very hard in our lives, and while we may sleep, we rarely take time to rest. Restorative yoga poses help us learn to relax and rest deeply and completely. During deep relaxation, all the organ systems of the body are benefited. Some of the measureable results of deep relaxation are the reduction of blood pressure and blood sugar levels in the blood. Also, an improvement of digestion, fertility, elimination, the reduction of muscle tension, insomnia and fatigue, and an increase of the “good cholesterol” levels. Props are used extensively in this class and participants are asked to bring a yoga mat, a blanket, an eye covering (scarf or eye pillow) and a bottle of water. Please wear something that makes you comfortable. This class is available to all-levels and all ages. Dates: Saturday, April 11 Instructor: Martha Affleck Time: 5:30-7:30pm Location: TBA Fee: $20 Deadline: Thursday, April 2, 2015
