StatisticsIt’s hard to narrow down a choice when you
have a wide selection of software all with extraordinary capabilities.
So to narrow down the “best” software, I used a performance tester, a software application to
display the memory usage of each program. Although I will average the speed (using a
feature in the software) and also compare the different programs on prices which is another
way to decipher the best choice.
Using an application by the name of ‘ObjectAlloc’ for the MAC OSX, I was able to emulate actual processing speed used to run each application and also gives the amount of RAM being used.

This chart analyzes the amount of RAM used to run each application in Megabytes.
Conclusions• Final Cut Studio is a very powerful application with lots of
capabilities to run beautifully, unfortunately it is only available for the Mac OS X, and not for Windows Vista/XP.
• Adobe Premiere is slightly slower in performance but has a very ‘ease-of-use’ system meaning that the application is very easy to understand and pick up if you have no experience with video editing software.
• Both applications are individually good in there own way, to justify which one is better is impossible, it depends on preference of Operating System and personal use of each of those applications.
• If I were to have to choose my favourite application, I would definitely pick Final Cut Studio… If I was using a Mac, if I were to be using a Windows based computer, my personal suggestion would be Adobe Premiere.
