Environment Awareness Campaign
Cairn Enterprise Centre | Barmer | Rajasthan
An Environment awareness campaign was
launched from Cairn Enterprise Centre in
collaboration with Department of Forest, ICDS &
UNGCP.
Highlights:
Awareness session on the need of urgent action
to conserve trees & water.
Information on avoidance of the usage of plastic
bags and various schemes of the government on
agriculture and soil up-gradation.
More than 400 women from local and surrounding
villages of Barmer along with community leaders
participated in the program.
The program included a quiz competition for women
on environment, exhibition of articles made from
plastic waste, street play on environment and sapling
plantation. Plantation outside ITI campus was also
undertaken.
Dignitaries from local and district administration
appreciated Cairn use of latest technologies which
contribute to low environment footprint.

Walking for the Cause – “Green Economy”
RGT | Rajasthan
World Environment Day was celebrated at RGT area
with a “Walking for the Cause – Green Economy” in
which around 60 people actively walked from RGT for
about 6 Km.
Community meeting, drawing and slogan writing
competition was organized at Govt. Upper Primary
School – Dhandlawas.
Highlights :
Around 300 people volunteered in the activities.
150 saplings (Neem, Peepal and Kalpatru) were
provided to children, women and farmers
70 children actively participated in the drawing
and slogan writing competition on “Green and
Healthy Environment”.
Compact Fluorescent Bulbs were given to local
villagers and key stakeholders to promote “Power
Saving”.
Local people along with members from the Gram
Panchayat and School teachers acknowledged
Cairn’s various community centric development
activities and requested to extend the support for
plantation during beginning of this year’s monsoon.

Plantation Drive on World Environment Day
Sanchore | Rajasthan
Planted saplings at Sanchore Office premise, AGI 6
to 8 and Khirodi village of AGI 7.
Key Objective was to plant as many saplings as
possible.
With the support of farmers, it was also proposed to
plant many more saplings in and around AGIs during
monsoon especially fruit trees which would be serving
dual purposes.
Various representatives from local and district
administration, and various other community
members were present on the event.
