Undergraduate Admission Documents Documents you need to upload when filling in an Application Form

Before you start to fill in the online application form and to upload certificates please read the following document. You will be able to save time and energy if you prepare all required documents in advance. FIRST YEAR candidates

Candidates applying as First Year students should upload the following documents on the admission process application form:

Scanned copy of your Passport or ID card.

Scanned copies of all High School Transcript of records: last 2 years.*

Scanned copy of your High School Diploma and grades.

Candidates currently taking their final year at High School should upload the Transcript of records with the results they have achieved until now. In this case, if available, candidates can also provide us with their predicted grades. WARNING: If you wish to study Vétérinaire (French Degree) you need to follow the instructions given to you by e-mail. / *Candidates from Italy or non-EU study systems should upload last 3 years.

Translations

First Year – EU study system: official translation is not required if original documents are issued in Spanish, French and English.

First Year – Non-EU study system: translation is not required if the original documents uploaded with the Admission Form are in Spanish, English or French. However, all documentation will have to be officially translated into Spanish for enrolment.

Transfer candidates: Translation is needed for academic documents in case they are in any other language than Spanish, English or French. By the time of enrollment all documents will have to be officially translated into any of the mentioned languages even if, for certain degrees, we accepted non-official translation with the application form.

TRANSFER candidates

Candidates applying as Transfer students, from another university, need to have passed a minimum of 30 ECTS (Credits) in order to apply. To certify this, they will need to upload the following documents:

Scanned copy of your Passport or ID card.

An Official Certificate of your results that includes the grading system of the program.

The syllabus of the subjects you have passed and wish to validate.

This uploaded documentation will be assessed by the appropriate Faculty and has to be fully uploaded. The Faculty will study the dossier and they will draft a validation of credits proposal that will be sent back to the student. For certain Degrees, this procedure may vary.

You must scan original documents Any documents that you scan for uploading must be from original documents. If the document is in colour, scan it in colour. Remember to include all pages of documents that contain any type of text/writing. Be sure that everything in the document is visible on the scan. Your academic documents will have to be uploaded in only one .pdf file.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS for all candidates All applicants must satisfy the requirements for English or Spanish language. The level required will depend on the Degree you have chosen and you will receive an email with those requirements once you submit your application form. However, if you already have any of the certificates listed below, you can upload it in your application form if you wish. The below charts contain the language certificates accepted at CEU-UCH for Spanish and English. In case you cannot proof your language level through any of the below certificates, you will be required to take an on-line test after your admission interview or at any other moment depending on the degree you have chosen.

And if I get accepted*…

As a 1st Year student – EU study system: all academic documentation will have to be certified.

As a 1st Year student – non-EU study system: all academic documents need to be legalised and a copy of your passport copy certified.

As a Transfer student – EU study system: all academic documentation will have to be duly signed and stamped by your university.

As a Transfer student – non-EU study system: all academic documents need to be legalised. All students need to bring paper documents to the Registrar for enrolment. Warning: Remember that first, you will need to legalise and after officially translate the documents, if required!

How can I legalise my documents? Original documents can be legalized in two ways:

Diplomatic manner

The original documents must be presented following this order to:

The Ministry of Education or institution responsible for the document in the country of origin.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country where the documents were issued.

A Spanish consulate or embassy in your home country. Apostille The previous way for legalizing the documents is not necessary for the countries that have signed the Hague Convention. It is sufficient that the authorities of the country extend the apostille. Click here to find a list of countries that have signed the Hague Convention.

How can I make certified copies of my documents? You can make certified copies of your documents by bringing the original ones to : A Spanish Embassy
