Nepal is South Asian country which is located between India and China. Its area is 147,181 square kilometer. Its capital city is Kathmandu. There are about 100 Ethnic Groups and 70 spoken languages. It is also known as birthplace of the Supreme Lord Gautam Buddha (Siddhartha Gautama) & also known as The country of Mount Everest.

Topograhy of Nepal

It is a mountaineous country . According to geographical structure, Nepal is divided into three region that are Himalayan region, Hilly region and Terai region. Most of part are covered by Hilly region. The World’s deepest gorge ‘Kali-Gandaki to the highest point on earth lies in Nepal.

Vegetation of Nepal

Nepal is rich in biodiversity even it is a small country, It covers about 2.5% of world biodiversity of the world. It is rich in biodiversity due to variation in weather and climate, land topography , wide variation in altitude. Four season are available in Nepal. It has Subtropical climate in low region and Artic climate at higher region. Nepal is such kind of country where you can feel different weather even in a small area. Nepal possess outstanding biodiversity of the world, ranging from sub-tropical Rain-forests to Alpine Deserts.

Resources of Nepal

Water resources: Nepal is the second richest country in the world in water resources. There are about six thousand rivers in Nepal. It has capacity of producing 83,000megawatt hydroelectricity in a year. There are thousand of lakes in Nepal.

Administration in Nepal

There is federal democratic republic system in Nepal. Recently, Nepal has formed a new constitution. Nepal is a developing country. The name of prime minister of Nepal is Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli and president is Bidhya Vandari.

Nepal is main source of limestone. Mines of gold, iron , copper, petroleum products are found in Nepal.

Tourism in Nepal

Nepal is touristic area. It is well known in the world in natural beauty and in its culture. Nepal is lucky enough in case of natural beauty. There are many world heritage site. Nepal is lucky enough due to availability of adventure opportunity, diversity of sight- seeing and rich cultural heritage .

UNESCO cultural and natural world heritage site Nepal

Bhaktapur durbar square, Patan dubar square, Kathmandu durbar square, Boudhhanath, Pashupatinath , Swambunath, Lumbini, Changunarayan are cultural heritage sites . And Sagarmatha National Park and Chitwan National park are natural world heritage site. Nepal is also known as a living cultural heritage because Nepal’s heritage is alive and dynamic. Temples, shrines, monuments and monasteries are active with devotees burning butter lamps, singing hymns and playing drums. “Kumari” is whorshiped as living goddess.

Bhaktapur is the smallest district of Nepal. It is rich in culture, art and architecture. Nyatpole temple, Bhaktapur durbar square, 55 windows, Siddhapokhari , changunarayan temple etc are attracting sites for tourist. Kathmandu valley is mostly resident of newar people.

Facilities for tourist in Nepal

Trekking, rafting, mountaineering are most attractive point for tourist. Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Mustang, Manaslu etc are trekking region of Nepal. The highest peak of the World that is Mount Everest is situated in Nepal. There are twelve mountain having a height above 8000m. Manaslu , Everest , Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Lotse, etc name of mountain which are situated 8000m above from the sea level. So many tourist climb mount Everest to see the world through the highest part of the world. Rafting, bungy jumping , paragliding, cannoying etc are popular among the Tourist. There is also facility of homestay for the tourist. Tourist are taken as goddess in villages. There are so many resorts, lodges, hotels for the service of tourist.

Specialities of Nepal

840 different species of wet-land and 8% of world’s population of birds are observed in Nepal. Nepal is also home of endangered species such as Royal Bengal Tiger, One horned rhino, Snow – Leopard, Red Panda, Brown Bear, Assamese Macaque, Gangetic Dolphin, Wolf, Wild Elephant, Giant Horn – Bill, Swamp Deer, Wild Yak, Tibetan Antelope, Black Buck, Four Horned antelope, Musk Deer, Pigmy Hog, Haspid Hare, Pangolin, Gharial, Indian Bustart, Saras Crane, Impean Pheasant, Python etc. There are nine national parks in Nepal, one hunting reserve and four conservation area.
