Robert Killian—what a gentleman! He was as comfortable with politicians, like Senator Connie Johnson shown above, as he was trying out the new playground equipment (shown left). He loved to talk and never met a stranger. His genuine love for our students was seen in everything he did,

from participating in the Kindergarten Tea Party to making a middle school student feel really sorry for a bad choice. He expected the best from himself and everyone around him. He was respected and loved as our principal, teacher, colleague, and friend. We will miss you Mr Killian!

Robert Killian found out 8 years ago that he had cancer. He was given 3 years to live. And live he did! He focused on the important things of life—family, friends, faith, and fun. He worked hard and played hard. He lived his dream whi le he lp ing others live theirs. He found purpose in his calling—the call to inspire his Crutcho family to reach for the stars and stop at nothing less!

WHAT CANCER CAN’T DO CANCER IS SO LIMITED! IT CANNOT CRIPPLE LOVE. IT CANNOT

SHATTER HOPE. IT CANNOT CORRODE FAITH. IT CANNOT

DESTROY PEACE. IT CANNOT DECREASE CONFIDENCE. IT

CANNOT KILL FRIENDSHIP. IT CANNOT SHUT OUT MEMORIES.

IT CANNOT SILENCE COURAGE. IT CANNOT INVADE THE SOUL.

IT CANNOT CONQUER THE SPIRIT.

ROBERT KILLIAN LIVED THIS POEM EVERYDAY FOR THE PAST

EIGHT YEARS. HE WAS AN INSPIRATION TO ALL OF US AS HE

LIVED EVERYDAY TO THE FULLEST.
