Standing 605 feet high, the iconic Space Needle was built for the 1962 World’s Fair. Today, the Space Needle offers brunch, lunch, and dinner at the rotating SkyCity restaurant, and an observation deck that provides an expansive view of all sections of the city from 520 feet up.


Pike Place Market has been an institution since its establishment in 1907. A year-round farmer’s market, Pike Place has cheese and flower stalls, small shops, a fish market where salmon is tossed back and forth, and a wide variety of local fruits and vegetables from which to choose.


Beneath the Aurora Bridge in the city’s Fremont neighborhood is the secluded Fremont Troll. Created in 1989, the huge Troll has become a popular tourist destination and event venue, featuring Shakespeare at the Troll and Troll-a-Ween.
