HYMN OF DEVOTION Blest Be the Tie That Binds, vs. 1+3 Blue #272 Blest be the tie that binds our hearts in Christian love; The fellowship of kindred minds is like to that above.

When we are called to part it gives us inward pain,But we shall still be joined in heart, and hope to meet again.

THE GATHERING OF GOD’S PEOPLEThe whole assembly proclaims the Word by gathering for

worship. Our gathering witnesses to neighbors, friends, and family that we live by rooted and radical allegiance

to the One who created, redeemed, and sustains us.

THE GREAT THANKSGIVINGAll things come from God. With praise and thanksgiving

we return to God that which has been shared. The entirety of worship, draws us into communion with Jesus.

We give thanks for this time of unity.

THE WORD FOR THE DAYThe Word is always “Good News.” Jesus encounters us,

and is truly present, in the proclamation of the Word. Through spoken word and by participating in the liturgy,

our congregation proclaims the Word of God.
