OUR SERVICES
Our high-performance on-site facilities and a network of specialised partners enable us to meet a wide range of client needs for NHV services. Meanwhile, our experience and contributions to landmark initiatives – including the Reva electric car, the European Ecobex project and R&D programmes coordinated by northern France-based R&D organisation Cisit – have made us a leading player in NVH research and development.
Studies and tests for clients focus on complete vehicles, engines or specific components, including air intakes, timing belts, engine covers and noise-encapsulation systems. We use accelerometers to measure and analyse vibration levels produced by complete vehicles, engines and components.
ABOUT US
CRITT M2A is an independent research centre set on over 7.000 sqm, considered as a major player in testing and R&D services.
Organized into 4 technical activities: engine, NVH, turbocharger and electric, CRITT M2A offers its expertise and provides high-technology test means to automotive, rail and aeronautic industries.
With its R&D activity, CRITT M2A has developed strong skills recognized in France and Worldwide as well as several public and academic partnerships of excellence.
3 REVERBERATION CHAMBERS- Volumes: 76, 210 and 136 m3 - Control room interfaces with acoustic transparency instruments- 1 chamber interfaces with a semi-anechoic chamber for acoustic insulation measurements- Müller-BBM’s PAK software.
SEMI-ANECHOIC CHAMBER - Volume : 410 m3- Background noise level : 15 dB- Cut-off frequency : 70 Hz- Roller-type chassis dynamometer (speeds up to 200 km/h, 83 kW/3,340 Nm)- Müller-BBM’s PAK software.
POWERTRAIN TEST BENCH IN FULLY ANECHOIC CHAMBER- up to 300 kW/1,400 Nm at 8,000 rpm- background noise level : 17 dB- cut-off frequency : 70 Hz- Müller-BBM’s PAK software.
NOISE TEST TRACK A 900-m-long noise test track with roundabouts at each end offers :
- Heavy vehicle access- 26% slope- Sound reflecting wall- Pass-by noise test area in compliance with ISO 10844- Wet road test area- Rough road test area- Müller-BBM’s PAK software.
VIBRATION Our in-house facilities for vibration analysis include electrodynamic shakers rated from 5 to 53 kN, an impact hammer, accelerometers and a laser vibrometer.
