P2 - RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT STATION FOR LEGUME CULTURE BACĂU
The main activity pursued in this project was Maintaining the genetic integrity of varieties and hybrids of
vegetables, providing seed from superior links (prebase and base) and creating new cultivation by:
-creation of the initial breeding material, selection, in-line consistency testing, androsterility testing, sporophytic
autoincompatibility, etc .;
-selection of valuable inbred lines for the main morphological characters, productivity, quality and resistance to
pathogens and pests;
- testing in vitro multiplication of valuable lines.
- enriching the genetic patrimony by obtaining valuable autochthonous genotypes
- - datasheets and databases for the characterization of new genotypes and germplasm collections of garden
beans in terms of production capacity and quality, resistance to pathogens and pests, adaptation to various
pedoclimatic conditions and their implementation in culture.
- A new variety of MIRUNA garden beans has been created and approved, as well as the preservation of four
homozygous advanced lines.
- The project responds to solving the stringent problems demanded by Romanian farmers:
- - the need for cultivation of Romanian varieties, adapted to the environment of our country, early and
productive, with genetic resistance, demanded by consumers.
- Through the diversification work to maintain the genetic integrity of varieties and hybrids of vegetables, the
provision of seed from superior links, the project has an innovative contribution to:
- -promotion of Romanian products (through newly created genotypes);
- -reducing dependence on extreme markets (through the competitiveness of newly created genotypes);
- -efficiency of agricultural holdings (through the availability of genotypes created to the ecological and
conventional culture system).

Conclusions: P.S. 3.2.6 / Et.VII -
2018• Biological material was obtained from all seven studied
species: onion, parsnip, cabbage, jelly, radish and beans.
• For each species under study, for this project, we collected the
most representative cultivation from the local populations in
the area of our area, in order to obtain new cultivation.
• Varieties have been approved, patents have been obtained and
a series of valuable features have been collected.
• Technologies have been developed for all the studied
vegetable species.
