Introduction• Marc Gerdisch, MD, a senior partner with Cardiac Surgery Associates

and chief of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery at Franciscan St. Francis Health, specializes in performing complex heart valve surgery. Throughout his career he has performed over 5,000 innovative surgical procedures, as well as created new heart surgery processes. Dedicated to helping others outside the realm of medicine, Dr. Marc Gerdisch supports Sycamore School in Indianapolis.

A private school for gifted students between preschool and 8th grade, Sycamore School maintains various programs in addition to its regular curriculum. One such program is the Quest Summer Camps. These camps were created in 1985 and are designed to help children make new friends while developing both their creativity and confidence.

Sycamore School• Quest Summer Camps are held in June and July and are offered to

children from prekindergarten through 12th grade. Enrollment at Sycamore School’s camps is limited and registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

For 2017, the Quest Summer Camps will run from June 5 to July 28. The registration deadline for June camps is May 12, while July camps have a deadline of June 9. Prices range from $85 to $496 and a $25 registration fee must be paid once a child is registered for a camp. Sycamore School will be offering a large range of camps during the 2017 summer. These camps will focus on such topics as science exploration, nature, coding, martial arts, kitchen chemistry, and dendrology, the study of woody plants.
