FUNCTION

Non Hold Open: Standard function. Non Hold Open Door Closer provides a smooth, controlled closing action to the door after the door has been opened and released.

Backcheck:Hydraulic circuit designed to cushion the doors opening swing at about 75° in order to prevent the damage of doors by unexpected hitting.

Delay Action:Delayed Action closing allows slow-moving traffic to clear the opening before the door closer’s normal closing cycle begins. This feature can be helpful in health care facilities. It provides sufficient time for persons on crutches or in wheelchairs to pass through a door without concern of it closing.

INSTALLATION

ApplicationsBasically, there are 3 applications for the door closer installation. Read the contents below to know more about the details.

Parallel (Push Side)

This application provides the most appealing design appearance for a surface-

mounted door closer having a double lever arm. This also makes it beneficial in

vandalism-prone areas.

Regular (Pull Side)This is the only pull side application where a double lever arm is used. It is the most power-efficient application for a door closer. Sufficient frame, door and/or ceiling clearance must be considered.

Top Jamb (Push Side)For efficiency reasons this application provides the best alternative to the regular arm application. There must be sufficient frame face and/or ceiling clearance for this application. This application provides the best door control for doors in exterior walls that swing out of a building

Door HandingAlthough many door closers are mostly non-handed, still some covers, arms or holding devices are handed.

In such a case, the hand of the door should be specified. To determine the door handing, you may stand

outside of the door, if the hinge is on the right hand side, then it is a right hand door; whereas the hinge is

on the left hand side, it is a left hand door. (Please see the illustrations below).

Adjust the Power Size

Use the hex key to adjust the closer power in order to match the conditions of

the door. This function is only available for Non-sized closers.

Spring Power Adjustmant

Adjust the Door Closing Speed

There are 2 valves to control the door closing of sweep speed and latch speed separately. (Model shown

below is DC8 Series; the location of the valves depends on the type of closers.)

Adjust the Backcheck / Delay Action

Some models which provide Backcheck/Delay Action

function are equipped with regulating valves for adjusting

the Backcheck strength or delay closing speed.

Warning: Please do not tighten or loosen the regulating

valves completely .
