PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONThis three-week seminar—presented by the University of Notre Dame with two session options—offers students an intensive exploration of the issues of the Holy Land through an examination of its faiths and peoples. This program is situated at Notre Dame’s Jerusalem Global Gateway, which is located between Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
Notre Dame students as well as students enrolled in a US college or university are invited to apply.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS • Learn about the people and significant places of the
Holy Land in a seminar course titled “Three Faiths, Two Peoples: Jews, Christians, and Muslims in the Holy Land.”
• Travel throughout the Holy Land and see such sites as:

ELIGIBILITY AND COURSE REQUIREMENTS • Must have completed freshman year
• Must be in good academic standing and in compliance with the standards of conduct at Notre Dame or home institution
• Students participating in the program will take THEO 24846: “Three Faiths, Two Peoples,” a course that counts as a second theology requirement at Notre Dame.
HOUSING AND MEALSStudents will live at the Jerusalem Global Gateway in shared apartments or suites. Meals will be provided at the Gateway and off site on travel days.
PROGRAM FEE ($4500) INCLUDES
• 3 Notre Dame credits
• Room and meals (three meals per day)
• All program academic outings and activities including entrance to sites
• On-site program support from Notre Dame
• HTH international health and emergency evacuation insurance

Robert O. Smith is an ordained Lutheran pastor with long-standing professional and academic engagement with the Middle East and North Africa. Oxford University Press published his first monograph, More Desired than Our Owne Salvation: The Roots of Christian Zionism, in 2013. He holds concurrent appointments in Notre Dame’s Department of Theology and Keough School of Global Affairs.
