SEASON'S GREETINGS - HAPPY NEW YEAR

J.MAYER.H would like to thank all of our partners and friends for many rewarding collaborations and a fantastic 2015 -- a year in which we were able to realize anumber of national and international projects with great enthusiasm and success. Here are some highlights:

In Germany, we finished the Sonnenhof complex, a project consisting of four new buildings with office and residential spaces in the historical center of Jena. The cityof Karlsruhe celebrated its third centennial in the J.MAYER.H-designed event pavilion KA300, which was erected in the city's Schlossgarten in the spring. In Berlin,we continued work on Volt Berlin, a new concept mall for lifestyle, brands, and urban experience near Alexanderplatz, with construction set to begin in 2016. Theyear also saw the start of interior and facade work for FOM University in Düsseldorf, where completion is scheduled for spring 2016. Meanwhile, two moreDüsseldorf projects -- Quartier M - Living Central, a high-rise housing block and Rhein740, a medical services and residential high-rise -- continued into the nextplanning phase. In Georgia, the Pipia Villa and the Saakashvili Presidential Library in Tbilisi were completed. For Revolution, a collection of limited edition,pre-crafted structures introduced by design and real estate developer Robbie Antonio, we designed the Palloon Relaxation Pavilion, a cozy, intimate oasis for retreatand relaxation. In another collaborative project with Keenen/Riley, WORKac, Nicolas Buffe, and Clavel Arquitectos, we are working on a facade for MuseumGarage in the Design District in Miami, Florida, USA. Construction will begin in 2016. 

Our projects, sculptures, and installations were featured in a number of exhibitions in 2015, with presentations including the solo show BLOCK.BUSTER at In-CiteGallery, Bangalore and Vis-a-Vis Gallery in New Delhi, India. We designed an installation called Hands-On with support from AIT and STO Werkstatt forthe European Conference of Leading Architects (ECOLA) Awards in London. Numerous projects were included in an exhibition at FIN-GER in Würzburg, Germany,at MAXXI in Rome, and at the Museum für Gestaltung in Zürich, Switzerland. Top-View-Melt-Down, our project for the Antarctic Pavilion at the 2014 VeniceBiennale, was presented at the Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow in 2015. 

We proudly published our new monograph could should would with publisher Hatje Cantz. The monograph gives a broad overview of almost all of our projects,along with insightful texts by Ana Miljacki, John Paul Ricco, and Georges Teyssot. We won two A+ Architizer Awards for the Court of Justice in Hasselt, Belgium andthe Highway Rest Stop in Lochini, Georgia, lectured at institutions including KOTOR Apaa in Montenegro, the Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design inMoscow, the IAVA Conference in Tel Aviv, and many others.

2016 will continue our dynamic development with many exciting projects in the United States, Asia, and Europe. March will mark J.MAYER.H's third exhibition andpresentation at MIPIM in Cannes. In April, we will open our solo exhibition at the Haus am Waldssee, Berlin with an immersive installation, architecture models, andsketches from our archive that will be exhibited for the first time. We look forward to continuing our productive collaborations with you, and sharing an exciting 2016.

J. MAYER H. was founded in 1996 by Jürgen Mayer H. in Berlin. In January 2014, Andre Santer and Hans Schneider joined as partners in the firm. Jürgen Mayer H.studied at Stuttgart University, The Cooper Union and Princeton University. His work has been published and exhibited worldwide and is part of numerous collectionsincluding MoMA New York and SF MoMA and also private collections.

National and international awards include the Mies-van-der-Rohe-Award-Emerging-Architect-Special-Mention-2003 ,Winner Holcim Award Bronze 2005 and WinnerAudi Urban Future Award 2010. Jürgen Mayer H. has taught at Princeton University, University of the Arts Berlin, Harvard University, Kunsthochschule Berlin, theArchitectural Association in London, the Columbia University, New York and at the University of Toronto, Canada.
