CORPORAL WORKS of
MERCY
Throughout the year, the children and their families in faith formation have been learning about the corporal works of mercy.
They learned that the word “mercy” means love in action and corporal means that we help take care of the bodily needs of others by showing them love. Just as Jesus tells us in Matthew 25:31-46, when we see others as Jesus in disguise and help them, we are seeing Him and doing for Him. Thank you to all those who participated - parents and children.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Spring is in the air so that means VBS is right around the corner.
This year, travel back with us to the Wild West where we take God’s Love to New Frontiers. We will discover something even greater than gold sparkling in a river! We will discover the good news of God’s love for us.
The adventure begins on July 8, 2019 and lasts through the week. Registrations are in the foyer of the church or at the Parish office. For more information, please contact Kathleen Mitchell at 856-553-6669 or [email protected].
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is on summer hiatus.
We will resume in October.
THANK YOU!
Our heartfelt thanks to all those who participated in the Mother’s Day Carnation sale on the weekend of May 11th and 12th. The proceeds went to the National Life Center in Woodbury which offers support to women in crisis pregnancies.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
TOGETHER IN PRAYER
Together In Prayer, a prayer group for the LGBT Catholic Community, will take a July/August summer break. The year will conclude with a Mass of Accompaniment & Inclusion, for LGBT Catholics, their families, loved ones, and supporters in faith, on Sunday June 23rd at Saints Peter & Paul Church, Turnersville at 6 PM. For more information call Christine at 207-240-5254.
CATHOLIC STRONG UPDATE 1. Our new Sanctuary Floor is finally a reality! Thank you for
all the compliments you shared last weekend. 2. Our furniture designs and approvals continue on schedule. 3. We are planning in great detail for the Consecration of our
new Altar and the re-dedication of our Sanctuary on June 29th.
If you have not yet had an opportunity to be part of our Catholic Strong Campaign/initiatives, it is not too late! Please speak with Msgr. Roger or any of the Catholic Strong Ambassadors.
