Hanse 400 - ARGO General information on the Hanse shipyard

Working with outside naval architects and designers, the Hanse shipyard developed new standards in form and function for the exterior and the interior of their yachts. This new design trend attracted many followers as evidenced by the numerous awards our models received from trade magazines. The Hanse yachts offer the so-called cross-over concept—yachts with the room and comfort of cruising yachts below decks, and the performance of sport boats. HanseYachts has its own research & development department. It coordinates with outside designers from the very beginning and is responsible for significant parts of the process. This way they are able to incorporate new ideas into their products quickly. And they can insure that they meet our high quality standards. From the owner

Our Hanse 400 offers superb performance in a comfortable 3 stateroom, 2 head interior. The Hanse was Boat of the Year in 2006. Our Hanse 400 will is based in Athens for 2010, and offers quality European design and workmanship. She has an extremely elegant, light and modern interior, beautiful woodwork and comfortable heads and a spacious toilet with separate shower cubical. Sailing performance is her most notable feature, with a large main that can be effectively reefed, and a self tacking headsail for incredibly easy handling. She is an easy large boat that really sails well. She is perhaps the only boat of her size where all the sheets can be trimmed from the helm, allowing one person to sail her with ease. Let your crew do what they enjoy, while you enjoy the feel of the roller bearing steering system with finger tip control In general, the Hanse is easy to sail and very comfortable. As a reference from a skipper who sailed the Hanse 400 in 2009 “A great sailing yacht, the 40ft Hanse which is a top boat to sail and not comparable with a normal charter boat.”
