1.1 Merespon makna dalam percakapan transaksional (to get things done) dan interpersonal

(bersosialisasi) yang menggunakan ragam bahasa lisan sangat sederhana secara akurat,

lancar, dan berterima untuk berinteraksi dengan lingkungan terdekat yang melibatkan

tindak tutur: menyapa orang yang belum/sudah dikenal, memperkenalkan diri

sendiri/orang lain, dan memerintah atau melarang

3. Students will be able to greet and to part, and to introduce oneself to another by doing

role play or simulation done in the teaching and learning activities

1.5 Students able to choose the right expressions to introduce someone to another.

IV. Model, Method and Instructional Procedures

Model:

Collaborative Learning: Pair-work and group work as well as learning with Communicative

Approach

Method:

Exploration, Elaboration, Confirmation through discussion, and Drill.

Instructional Procedures:

Pre-activities

1. Teacher will greet the students and check students’ attendance.

2. Teacher will ask some questions happen in their daily life related to the topic that will be

discussed in this topic.

Main activities:

Exploration

1. Teacher will brainstorm the students about the topic (greeting, parting, introducing self

and someone to another).

2. The teacher will read aloud a short dialogue as an example of the topic, and ask the

students to listen carefully. Then, the teacher will ask some questions to the students

about the dialogue they have heard. (‘what is the dialogue tell you about?’ ‘Can you

mention the greeting expressions used in the dialogue?’ ‘What is the personal information

shared by people in the dialogue?’)

Elaboration

1. Teacher will play a cassette about introducing self and someone to another, and ask the

students to find information based on the dialogue individually.

2. Teacher and students will discuss the answers of the exercises.

3. Teacher will ask the students to work in group or pairs to do some exercises in their text

book or exercises given by the teacher. Then, teacher and students will discuss the

answers of the exercises.

4. Teacher will ask the students to make short dialogues based on situation or pictures

provided in their text book, or clues given by the teacher.

5. Teacher will ask the students to practice the dialogue in front of the class, and ask the

other students to pay attention and give comments to their friends’ performances.

Confirmation

1. Teacher will check student’s comprehension by asking some questions related to the

dialogue performed before.

Post activities:

1. Teacher and students will conclude or summarize the information has been discussed in

today’s meeting.

2. Teacher will give homework to the students in order to deepen their comprehension

about the topic.

a. Vocabulary:

- Numbers: one, two, three, four, and so on.

- Months and Dates

- Greeting and parting expressions: Hello, Good morning, Good afternoon, how are you,

see you tomorrow, nice to meet you, bye-bye, etc.

- Expressions to introduce self and someone to another: hello, I would like to introduce

myself…… , this is my friend …….. , etc.

b. Grammar Focus:

- The alphabet

- Subject pronoun: I, You, We, They, He, She, It

- Possessive Adjectives: my, your, our, their, his, her, its

- Titles; Mr, Mrs, Miss

VI. Assessment

At the end of this topic, teacher will assess students speaking skill with some criteria mention in

the following rubric. Teacher will ask the students to make a group of three or four to do a role

play about introducing self and someone to another based on the situation given by the teacher.

3. Teacher will ask the students to work in group or pairs to do some exercises in their text

book or exercises given by the teacher. Then, teacher and students will discuss the

answers of the exercises.

4. Teacher will ask the students to make short dialogues based on situation or pictures

provided in their text book, or clues given by the teacher.

5. Teacher will ask the students to practice the dialogue in front of the class, and ask the

VII. Assessment

At the end of this topic, teacher will assess students speaking skill with some criteria mention in

the following rubric. Teacher will ask the students to make a group of three or four to do a role

play about the topic based on the situation given by the teacher.
