Project Highlights:Playground Prep, a 4,000 square foot New England facility, was built in 2009 with a young child in mind. The facility has an outdoor play area that has a full jungle gym, swings, slides, and a sandbox. The playground is used all year long in all seasons, with areas of grass, mulch and cement. The owner contacted Team Ruggieri looking for suggestions on upgrades to their playground area. They wanted to eliminate the mulch area from the playground. The rubber was installed under the jungle gym set, as well as the swings, and sandbox. The Grasstex playtime 15’ turf over 2” of rubber foam was installed in the open areas the kids use for running and playing.

Unique InstallationThis job was unique for a few reasons:• We usually don’t get

involved in work outside, but through previous work with the owner they

reached out to us, so we took the challenge.

• Working with a landscaper to make sure the areas were well compacted and proper prep procedures had been met for warranty purposes.

• Trying to install the products over a weekend that we did not have rain or extreme heat and humidity.

• Meeting the Fall rating requirements with the State of Rhode Island.
