Learning at ll LevelsThomas & Friends: Learning Destinations features two progressive learning levels designed to help children in pre-kindergarten through kindergarten (ages 3 to 6) master skills for school. Within each level, the challenge adjusts to help teach and reinforce important concepts. Once you have picked an activity, choose a level.

Level 1 helps children aged 3 to 4 learn core curriculum, such as colors/colours, shapes, letters and numbers.

Level 2 teaches more challenging academic concepts, such as number sequencing and word building, for players 4 or older.

Your child can press the button on the keyboard at any time to get extra help with

How to Play

CurriculumLetter identification, phonics skills (vowel and consonant sounds), word building, spelling

Learning Within Each LevelEach level contains several rounds of gameplay with different degrees of difficulty. At the end of every round, your child’s correct answers are added up, and the degree of difficulty in the next round automatically adjusts based on how well your child did. If your child has answered less than 40 percent of the questions correctly, the activity will decrease in difficulty until your child grows more confident with the concepts. If your child answers between 41 percent and 80 percent of the questions correctly, she will keep playing at the current level. If your child answers more than 81 percent of the questions correctly and has played the current round five times, the degree of difficulty will automatically increase in the next round.

Harold’s Barrels ship has spilled its load into the water! Help Harold clean up by using the arrow keys to guide him over the barrels. Press the down arrow to pick up a barrel.

Level 1Each barrel has a letter on it. You’ll be asked to find the barrel with the correct vowel on it; for example, find the barrel with the letter a on it to complete the word map.

Level 2Each barrel has a letter on it. Listen and look at the screen to see which barrels you should grab to spell a word. For example, to spell hat, you’ll be asked to pick up the letter h, then a and t.

Earn tickets as you play!

Watch out for the whale! If he swims below Harold and blows his spout, he’ll throw off Harold’s balance. Use the arrow keys to move Harold safely out of the way!

Watch the fuel bar at the top of the screen. When Harold’s fuel runs out, the round is over!

Making TracksThe race is on! Choose the engine you’d like to drive—Thomas, Emily or Henry—and make tracks to your special destination on the Island of Sodor. When you finish, you’ll find out if you beat the time of the other engines.

Level 1Use your mouse to drive your engine to the shape the narrator asks for. s you progress, you’ll be asked to find objects by color/colour as well as shape (to find the yellow triangle, for example).

Level 2Use your mouse to drive your engine to the number the narrator asks for. s you progress, you will be asked to count the circles in the toolbar and find the corresponding number. You’ll also get practice with sequencing skills by looking for numbers that come before or after another number.
