HIGHLIGHTS

The NAV CENTRE was built as a Federal Government training institute for: Transport Canada in 1979, acquired by NAV CANADA in 1996. Today the NAV CENTRE is also used by all Canadian Government Agencies, corporate clients, associations, and the public sector organizations alike. The NAV CENTRE offers a modern and flexible learning environment in a secure setting. It is known as an economical and effective facility for short or long-term training, conferences and meetings. The Centre provides a comfortable all-inclusive environment, with accommodations, classroom and meeting space, dining and recreational facilities under one roof. It is one of the largest self-contained Conference & Training facilities in Canada. NAV CENTRE features: Facility and Location Highlights

• Self-contained 627,566 square feet facility • 70,000 square feet of intelligent convention, meeting and training space • 550 guestrooms & suites across four wings attached to the main building • Surrounded by 72 acres of parkland; with easy access to 42 kilometres of recreational trails along

the St. Lawrence River • Located along the Highway 401corridor • Approximately a one hour’s drive from Ottawa and Montreal and their respective airports • Shuttle services available upon request • VIA RAIL from both Toronto and Montreal to the Cornwall VIA RAIL Station

Key Academic Spaces

• The Conference Centre offers over 70 intelligent modern meeting rooms, approximately 70,000 square feet of meeting space

• “A-Section” completely renovated in the summer of 2015 • Significant natural lighting with atrium-style roof and large windows throughout • 2 dedicated computer rooms for courses requiring 50 computers (25 per room) with more

rooms available on request • Study and common areas throughout the facility • Wireless connectivity in all common areas and academic spaces

• Historic Stone House (built 1850) with wrap around porch offers a unique secure private

gathering space. The home is on the NAV CENTRE grounds but away from the NAV complex. Bar and food services are downstairs with meeting space and dining area upstairs. Private parking area.

Guestroom Accommodations

• 550 guestrooms: Standard, Studio and Executive Suites and Presidential Suite, (complete with kitchenette, separate sleeping quarters fireplace, boardroom, private screened-in patio with BBQ)

• Private 4 piece bathroom • Individually controlled heat and air-conditioner • Working Area: desk, ergonomic chair, task lighting, high speed internet, telephone with voice

mail • 42” flat screen television • Coffee Maker, coffee, tea • Iron/ironing board, upgraded amenities, hairdryer, mini refrigerator, clock radio • Guestroom entry is secured by key card assess and equipped with both a dead bolt and chain lock

Security

• Internal and external cameras monitored 24/7 • On-site security - minimum of 2 security guards per shift • The NAV CENTRE provides security 24 hours per day, 7 days per week which includes • Additional guards for special events when requested by the customer • All guards are licensed with the Ontario Government • All guards are qualified in First Aid and EAD • Internal and external patrols conducted during quiet hours • All guest rooms are controlled by key card entry • Depending on occupancy, additional guards are brought in • All exterior doors except for the Main Lobby are locked and only accessibly by card access • On-site Facility Management Team - electricians, plumber and shift-operators monitor the

building 24/7/365 days a year • DWAN SECURE CONNECTION

Business

• Knowledgeable, on-site Audio/Visual technicians offer a full array of modern technical solutions and support services. This includes LCD and overhead projectors, video & teleconferencing with satellite links and simultaneous translation services

• The Business Centre is open 24 hours a day and can provide: high-speed Internet access (wireless and cable); fax and printing services; and fax/message reception, notification and delivery

• The Print Shop is open Monday to Friday for large or small printing requirements • Four (4) Public internet stations are located on the second floor of the NAV CENTRE

Technical Support

• The NAV CENTRE’s Audio-Visual Technician is available during working hours and evenings • They will set up the various meeting rooms before start of the session and provide information

about the utilizations and/or connection of the equipment and/or equipment set-ups • The NAV CENTRE also has an extensive supply of replacement units on hand.

Services

• The NAV CENTRE has vending machines located on various floors • Convenience store approximately 1.5 km from the facility – walking trails or by car • Dry-cleaning pick-up and delivery • Coin operated laundry facilities • On-site ATM machine

Conference Planner

• The NAV CENTRE will provide a designated Conference Planner at no extra charge to assist with all aspects of the planning process through to the event conclusion. Room set-up, rooming lists, food and beverage schedules etc.

Accessibility

• Conference space, banquet facilities, selected accommodation configurations and hallways are accessible for persons with disabilities

• Accessible areas accommodate a wheelchair with minimum turning radius of 7 feet 6 inches. Widths of doors are not less than 36 inches

• Not all of the rooms are equipped with automatic doors. • Selected guest rooms are equipped to accommodate individuals with special needs and are

available in close proximity of the front lobby, the meeting rooms and dining areas • The Main Entrance of the NAV CENTRE is equipped with automatic doors

Shuttle Services

• The NAV CENTRE can make arrangements on your behalf for Airport Shuttle service between the facility and the Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier or Montreal-Trudeau International Airports. Applicable charges apply.

• The NAV CENTRE can make arrangements on your behalf for VIA rail service between the facility and the Cornwall VIA Rail Station.

Dining • Propeller Restaurant: Seating for up to 450 persons. A licensed buffet restaurant that offers

well-balanced meals that conform to the Canada Food Guide. Breakfast, lunch and dinner served seven days a week. A choice of hot meals, action station, selection of homemade soups, salad bar and desserts from the on-site bakery. Speciality meals provided to address food allergies, vegan, vegetarian and ethnic preferences; special dietary meals available on request, Sunday Brunch

• Café Bistro: Offers Starbucks coffee, made-to-order sandwiches and hot meals, healthy menu including smoothies, yoghurts, salads – open 7:00 AM to 10:24 PM daily

• Jet Set Pub: a traditional Pub atmosphere on site to get away, relax and network. Offers traditional pub food and live entertainment. Enjoy the outside patio overlooking the beautifully manicured grounds

• NAV FIT: a 27,000 square foot fitness centre including 25-metre lap pool, personal training, aerobics, Pilates, boot camp and yoga classes, free weight room, cardio equipment room, sauna and double 9,700 square foot gymnasium with equipment (basketball, volleyball and pickle ball);

• NAV SPA: Full service esthetic SPA includes Registered Massage Therapy services, manicure & pedicure services, private sauna and hair salon
