12th Auto Expo
Showcases stunning new Mojo & the advanced Centuro with Disc Brake
New Delhi, February 6, 2014: Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. (MTWL), a part of the USD 16.7 billion
Mahindra Group, today unveiled two motorcycles inspired by Mahindra Racing – the stunning new
Mahindra Mojo and the advanced Mahindra Centuro with Disc Brakes. These distinctly styled
motorcycles, with category-first innovations, showcase the company‟s strong technological capability.
The stunning new Mojo comes with bold, aspirational styling. It has a powerful 300c liquid cooled
engine and incorporates the Mahindra DNA as a tough and reliable performer even in extreme
performance conditions. The Mojo has been worked on at all levels from design, styling, engine,
performance, ergonomics and technology. This entailed close consumer engagement, a detailed
development process involving technical experts from across the globe and a rigorous testing regime.
To deliver its advanced technology and extreme performance, the company worked with a multitude of
engineering and technology partners across the globe, including with experts from the Mahindra
Group‟s own Mahindra Racing team which is the only Indian team to participate in the FIM MotoGP™
World Motorcycle Racing Championship.
The new Centuro Disc Brake version (Centuro O1-D) will be powered by Mahindra‟s indigenously
developed intelligent MCi-5 (Micro Chip ignited-5 curve) engine delivering a power output of 8.5 BHP @

Year‟ by Vicky.in, Zigwheels „Commuter Bike of the Year‟ and the coveted `Bike Maker of the Year
2013‟ award from DNA.
7500 RPM and an astounding mileage of 85.4 kmpl (ARAI). It will come with internationally patented
Anti Theft Alarm with Engine Immobilizer as well as disc brakes and tubeless tyres for added
safety. In addition to this, it also provides consumers with a range of truly innovative features like an
encrypted Remote Flip Key, Find Me Lamps, Guide Lamps, digital dashboard with distance-to-
empty (DTE) and Economy Mode indicator as well as Service Reminder indicator on the dashboard.
All these features are complimented by a 5 year Warranty.

Mahindra Racing is the only Indian team to participate in the FIM MotoGP™ World Motorcycle Racing
Championship, and showcased its winning 2013 MGP30 racer in India at the Auto Expo for the first
time. This precision engineered high performance motorcycle has performed brilliantly during the 2013
season, the highlight for which was podium finish for the first time at the Malaysian Grand Prix last
year. In a historic and landmark moment for Indian motorsports, Mahindra Racing has also become a
constructor of racing bikes and will supply the MGP30 to three other teams during the 2014 season.
Mahindra Two Wheelers also displayed two concept visualizations, a Scrambler and Café Racer, built
by individual custom houses on the Mahindra Centuro platform. It showcased their intent to evaluate
the customization / personalization space. They intend to work with select custom houses and build an
ecosystem where bikers can work with these custom houses to build safe, and stylized customized
bikes on the reliable and rugged Mahindra two wheeler platforms.
The Centuro has crossed 125,000 units in sales within 7 months since launch. The company also
commenced the New Year on a high note registering a 200% growth in sales in January 2014. The
Mahindra Centuro has been one of the most successful bikes in its segment and has won several
accolades including the AutoBild India, Golden Steering Award, Bike of the Year, “Commuter Bike of
the Year” from Zigwheels, “Bike of the Year” by Bike India, “Viewers Choice of the Year” by Autocar
India, People‟s Choice Bike of the Year by Vicky.in, Zigwheels „Commuter Bike of the Year‟ and the
coveted Bike Maker of the Year 2013 award from DNA. The company is also focused on expanding its
