I believe.

We have some knowledge.

But our understanding may

only be partial truth.

We have to expand this area. But how?

Understanding Yourself

Page 12: LASSI - Attitude & Motivation

Learning for Tomorrow’s World – First Results from PISA, 2003

“Successful learners are not only confident of their abilities. They also believe that investment in learning can make a difference and help them to overcome difficulties – that is, they have a strong sense of their own efficacy.

By contrast, students who lack confidence in their ability to learn

what they judge to be important and to overcome difficulties are exposed to

failure, not only at school, but also in their adult lives.”

Page 13: LASSI - Attitude & Motivation

There are many reasons to motivate people. Find out what you believe and value. Motivate yourself and stay highly motivated until you achieve your goals.

Page 28: LASSI - Attitude & Motivation

When we are motivated by goals that have deep

meaning, by dreams that need completion, by pure love that needs expressing, then we truly live life.

Greg Anderson

Page 29: LASSI - Attitude & Motivation

Goals are a blueprint for success. They tell you where to aim your energies and give you long-term vision and short-term motivation.

What is my goal

Page 30: LASSI - Attitude & Motivation

I did set goals before. However, it didn’t work. I can never achieve them anyway. Why bother?

“In the absence of clearly-defined goals, we become strangely loyal to performing daily trivia until ultimately we become enslaved by it.”

Robert Heinlein http://www.janechambers.com/newsletters/jan08.pdf

Jane Chambershttp://www.janechambers.com/newsletters/jan08.pdf

You try to do too much at once You don’t have clear, measurable goals You don’t have a plan You don’t understand what’s really

holding you back You make resolutions around what you

think you “should” do (no enthusiasm or passion ?!)

You did not make them a priority
