1. Continue to pull the Shift Knob up to remove the Shift Knob Assembly.

2. Store the Shift Knob Assembly in a safe location for reinstallation.N

1. Close the Forward Tray Cover.

2. Dislodge the Center Console Cover by gently pulling upwards to release

the four (4) pressure clips.

Caution: DO NOT scratch the Trim Panels or Shift Knob Assembly. Caution: DO NOT scratch the Trim Panels.

DO NOT lose the pressure clips.

1. Park the vehicle on a level surface.

2. Apply the Parking Brake.

3. Move the Gear Selector from Park (P) position to Drive (D) position.

4. Record all pre-set radio stations (if applicable).

5. Disconnect and isolate the vehicle's Negative Battery Cable.

1. Carefully release the six (6) clips surrounding the Shifter Boot by

gently pulling the Shift Knob upwards.

WARNING! Shock Hazard. Do not touch vehicle's negative battery

terminal to vehicle's positive battery terminal. Serious physical injury

or vehicle damage may occur.

Caution: DO NOT scratch the Trim Panels or Shifter Boot.

1. Lift the Center Console Cover to access the Electrical Connectors.

2. Disconnect any Electrical Connectors and remove the Center Console

Cover from the vehicle.

3. Store the Center Console Cover in a safe location for reinstallation.

1. Remove the passenger side HVAC Close Out Panel by pressing the

three (3) tabs rearward.

2. Store the HVAC Close Out Panel in a safe location for reinstallation.

Caution: DO NOT scratch the Center Console Cover. Caution: DO NOT scratch the HVAC Close Out Panel or surrounding

Trim Panels.

1. In driver side footwell area, remove the one (1) plastic screw

and one (1) push clip as noted in step 8.

2. Route the Interior Light Wire Harness (Driver Side Label) through the

front left side of the Center Console, towards the Driver Side Footwell

area.

1. Pull the Interior Light Wire Harness (Driver Side Label) completely

through

to the Driver Side Footwell area as shown.

2. Pull the Harness, taking up all the slack.

3. Replace the one (1) plastic screw and one (1) push clip removed in

step 7.

9 Wire Cutters, Ratchet, 13mm Socket and Torque Wrench 10

1. Locate the unused M8 stud high up on the bulkhead, just below the

large factory wire harness.

2. Mount the driver side LED assembly, using one (1) M8 nut as shown.

Hand tighten only.N

1. Secure LED assembly to vehicle main harness, that passes through the

bulkhead grommet, using one (1) wire tie as shown.

2. Torque M8 Nut to 9.8 - 14.7 Nm (1.0 - 1.5 kgf.m, 7.2 - 10.8 lb-ft).

3. Trim excess wire tie material.

1. On driver's side, route harness up beside HVAC housing and secure

to side of housing with wire tie #1. Do not fully tighten wire tie.

2. Continue to route the harness up above the HVAC vent and secure with

wire tie #2 to factory HVAC damper actuator harness. Do not fully tighten

wire tie.

3. Route the harness down and secure with wire tie #3 to forward white

connector on MDPS module. Do not fully tighten wire tie.

1. Route the harness across the top of the MDPS module over towards the

fuse box area.

2. Secure the harness to the 2-Pin MDPS power and ground connector with

wire tie #4. Do not fully tighten wire tie.

3. Route the harness around the MDPS module and along the large factory

harness towards the LED/bulkhead, and secure with wire tie #5 and #6

as shown. Do not fully tighten wire ties.

Caution: Be sure not to route the Interior Light Harness near any sharp

edges.

1. Finally, connect the harness to the LED.

2. Adjust slack in the harness to ensure it is routed evenly without

any tight or loose spots.

3. Once slack is adjusted, fully tighten all six (6) wire ties in the

driver side footwell area.

4. Trim excess wire tie material.

1. In passenger side footwell area, remove the one (1) plastic screw and

one (1) push clip.

2. Route the Harness (Passenger Side Label) through the front of the

Center Console towards the Passenger Side Footwell area as shown.

Caution: Be sure not to route the Interior Light Harness near any sharp

edges or where harness can be pinched.

Caution: Make sure not to route the Harness near any sharp edges.

1. Pull the Harness (Passenger Side Label) completely through to the

Passenger Side Footwell area as shown.

2. Replace the one (1) plastic screw and one (1) push clip removed in

step 14.N

1. Using Scissors, cut out the Passenger Side LED Template from

the back of these installation instructions.

2. Remove the white sound insulation from the HVAC close out panel in

area shown above where template is positioned.

3. Place the Template on the HVAC Close Out Panel and mark the two (2)

Mounting Holes using a Center Punch.

4. Using an Electric Drill and 3/16" Drill Bit, drill the two (2) outer LED

Mounting Holes.

5. Deburr the two (2) holes using a deburring tool.

Caution: Make sure not to route the Harness near any sharp edges. Be careful not to enlarge the hole while drilling and deburring.

1. Install the LED onto the HVAC Close Out Panel as shown, using the

two (2) provided plastic fasteners.

2. Make sure the LED Connector Opening is facing towards the

front of the vehicle (bulkhead).

3. Reinstall the white sound insulation to the HVAC close out panel.

1. Connect the Interior Light Harness to the LED.

2. Adjust the Interior Light Harness to allow the HVAC Close Out Panel to

be lowered onto the floor carpet for service access.

Caution: Do not install HVAC close out panel yet. Image above shows

harness route for clarity.

1. Using one (1) wire tie, secure the Interior Light Harness to factory HVAC

connector as shown on passenger side footwell area.

2. Trim excess wire tie material.

3. Reinstall the HVAC Close Out Panel while tucking the Interior Light

Harness above the insulated pad area as noted in Step 16.

1. Using Scissors, cut out the Switch Template from the back

of these installation instructions.

2. Place the Template in the Center Console Cover and mark the

hole using a Center Punch as noted above.

3. Using an Electric Drill and 3/16" Drill bit, drill a pilot hole.

Caution: Be sure not to route Interior Light Harness near any sharp

edges.

1. Using an Electric Drill and 19/32" Drill Bit, drill the hole in the

Center Console Cover.

2. Deburr the hole using a Deburring Tool.

Be careful not to enlarge the hole while drilling and deburring.

1. Insert the Switch into the hole.

- Make sure the Switch snaps in tightly and is oriented correctly as

shown.

1. At the Center Console area, locate the 12-Pin AUX Connector.

2. Connect one (1) T-Tap to the Blue Wire at Pin #4 as shown.

3. Connect one (1) T-Tap to the Gray Wire at Pin #6 as shown.

4. Connect the Blue Wire from the interior Light Harness to the T-Tap

at Pin #4.

5. Connect the Gray Wire from the interior Light Harness to the T-Tap

at Pin #6.

- Refer to the T-Tap Installation Procedure on page 3.

* For SE models with Base Radio: Locate the 16-Pin AUX Connector

and connect one (1) T-Tap to the Blue wire at Pin #8 and one (1)

T-Tap to the Gray wire at Pin #10.

1. Using one (1) wire tie, secure the Interior Light Harness as shown.

2. Trim excess wire tie material.

Caution: Be sure to install the T-Taps on the correct vehicle wires.

Make sure you connect the correct wire to the correct T-Tap. There

may be several wires of the same / similar color, please refer to Pin #

position identified on power connector.

Caution: Make sure not to route the Harness near any sharp edges.

1. Connect the switch to the switch leg of the Interior Light Harness.

2. Using two (2) wire ties, secure the switch harness and Interior

Light Harness to the Factory Harness as shown above on the

console cover. If the vehicle application does not have the factory

harness, then secure the switch harness to the "L" shaped anchor clip

with one (1) wire tie as noted above.

3. Trim excess wire tie material.

4. Reinstall the Center Console Cover and Shift Knob assembly.

1. Place the Glove Box Information Card in the Glove Box.

2. Reconnect the vehicle's Negative Battery Cable and torque

to 5 Nm (0.5 kgf-m, 44.16 lb-in).

3. Move the Gear Selector from Drive (D) position to Park (P) position.

4. Program radio pre-sets recorded in step 1 (if applicable).

5. Perform the Function Check and Visual Check on the following page.

6. Installation is complete.

WARNING! Shock Hazard. Do not touch vehicle's negative battery

terminal to vehicle's positive battery terminal. Serious physical injury

or vehicle damage may occur.

1. Using one (1) wire tie, bundle the Switch Harness and secure to the

factory AUX/USB harness in the center console, as shown. Bundle

length should be about 15" (381mm).

2. Using one (1) wire tie, secure the driver side leg of the Interior Light

Harness in the center console, as shown

Check the On / Off function of the Switch. Interior Lights should turn on and off when switch is in

the on position and headlamps are on.

Make sure to leave the interior light kit switch ON

after the Function Check is complete.

Check that the blue LED interior lights are illuminated

in Driver and Passenger side footwell areas when

both the vehicle headlamps and the On/Off switch

(installed with the kit) are on.

Check that the footwell light illumination changes

when using the vehicle Dimmer Switch.

Check that Blue LED Interior Lights are illuminated in

both Driver and Passenger side footwell areas.

Blue LED Interior Lights are illuminated.

Interior lights should become brighter and dimmer

when operating the vehicle Dimmer Switch.

Interior lights are in the ON position after the

Function Check is completed.

Blue LED interior lights not illuminated. Check:

- switch is in ON position.

- fuse is properly installed and intact.

- that T-Taps are installed on the correct wires*.

- spade terminals are installed correctly to the T-Taps.

- The LED's are connected to the interior light kit harness.
