Friends--

Our desire is to involve an increasing number of graduate students and facultyin missional campus communities.

In dependence on God, we intend to grow the area's ministry footprint to touch thelives of more than 550 graduate students this year--maturing disciples, new converts, returning believers, you name it.

The academic and professions are intense. Heck, life is intense. In the midst of thestorm, we long to see people rooted in the love and goodness of God in Christ.

Below you'll see a brief overview of our foci for 2013-2014--discipleship, evangelism, and partnership. These are the things that we believe God is calling us to.

At the end of the ministry year we expect to look back and see how God hasused us to positively impact graduate students and faculty with the love and grace ofGod.

All of the details of this plan belong to the Lord, and we're trusting him with them. Itis, after all, to his glory!

By God's grace we will:

Concentrate on developing and

deepening the small group

ministry at select chapters in the

area.

Increase the number of small

groups by intentionally

multiplying small groups at

strategic points during the

academic year.

Provide every small group

leader excellent training in how

to study the Bible, shepherd a

community of students, and use

their spiritual gifts to advance the

kingdom of God on campus.

Lead 25% (80) of graduate

students to explore more deeply

the relationship between

Christian faith and work.

By God's grace we will:

Pray and work toward seeing

more than ten graduate students

come to faith in Christ.

Lead 180 graduate students in

intentional small group

encounters where the purpose

and desired outcome is greater

comfort in bearing witness to the

gospel of Jesus Christ.

Develop two new evangelism

training resources for regional

and national use with graduate

students and faculty.

Develop and host at least one

public event with the purpose

communicating the gospel.

By God's grace we will:

Develop and engage an Area

Advisory Council to guide the

ministry of GFM in NC, SC, and

VA.

Intentionally engage more

people in direct graduate student

ministry.

$2,000 to fund four mini-grants of

$500 to underwrite some or all

of the expense of fall student

retreats.

$500 to fund travel grant for MBA

students to the 2014 Believers

in Business Conference.

$5,000 to provide training and

on-going coaching to new staff

hired in 2013-2014.

Clarify and deepen our

partnership with Christian

Medical & Dental Associations,

Christian Legal Society,

Leadership Edge and The Veritas

Forum.
