OCTO JrStand-Alone Audio DSP Processor

The OCTO Jr is a stand-alone DSP processor which comes with fixed six input and six output analog audio, plus three configurable I/O slots, and E-card slot is for specialty I/O card which can be installed as either 4 channel digital OCTO-Link card or 2 channel analog audio output card. Therefore, the possible configuration of OCTO Jr includes 18x10 I/O, 14x14 I/O and 10x18 I/O by 4 CH OCTO-Link, or 14x8 I/O, 10x14 I/O and 6x16 I/O by 2 CH analog audio output. The OCTO-Link card provides two audio channel inputs and two channel audio outputs to simultaneously transmit bi-directional data communication in digital format; hence a wide variety of digital I/O expansion remote such as Xavtel's RWD-series, and OL-AMP Lo-Z digital amplifier can be connected to OCTO Jr through OCTO-Link for centralized multi-room applications. The connection of OCTO-Link can be easily connect through the standard CAT5/CAT6 or fiber optic cable. The OCTO Jr also comes with a RS485 port and an Ethernet port for 3rd party control, plus 4 CH logic I/O and the 2 CH Control In for further expansion. The OCTO Jr features six programmable knobs, allowing direct control to any DSP function on the front panel. In addition, a USB port located on the front panel supports music and message playing, whilst a mini-USB port located on the rear panel can connect to PC/Laptop for AEC distance conferencingvia Skype, WeChat, WhatsAPP, etc. In order to adhere the 'easy to use’ principle, the pre-defined and fixed configuration allows the system programming on OCTO Jr Designer software without any efforts!

Up to 12 OCTO Sr processors can be cascaded through 16 CH DIGILINK bus to be a network

with CAT5/6 cable up to 32.8ft (10m). It is a fully configurable processor which has four

flexible I/O card slots. The OCTO Sr is capable to handle up to 16x16 analog audio I/O’s or

32x32 digital audio I/O’s. Various audio I/O cards are also available such as analog audio

cards with AEC, analog phone cards, VoIP cards, AES/EBU digital I/O cards, as well as the

exclusive digital OCTO-Link cards, which is available with two channel inputs and two

channel outputs simultaneously per port for transmitting control and digital audio. A wide

variety of digital I/O expansion remote such as Xavtel's RWD device and OL-AMP (Lo-Z

digital amplifier) can be connected to OCTO Sr through OCTO-Link using standard CAT5/6

cable for centralized multi-room applications. In addition, the OCTO Sr has a RS485 port, a

RS232 port and an Ethernet port located on the rear panel for 3rd party control. It also has 8

CH Contact Out and 16 CH Control In for remote expansion. Besides, a built-in relay interface

can be connected to a alarm for fault warning. The OCTO Sr features eight scalable knobs on

the front panel for direct control to the custom DSP parameters. The infrared remote control

is also supported. As Xavtel's state-of-art DSP processors, it incorporates powerful DSP

such as logic blocks, PEQ, page controller, ambient noise compensation, room combiner,

ANR(Acoustic Noise Reduction). All of them can be designed in high flexibility.

The OCTO Pro is a fully AVB networkable DSP processor which comes with a LCD touch screen, 6x4 audio card slots for a fully flexible I/O configuration with up to 24x24 CH analog audio I/O’s or 48x48 CH digital audio I/O’s in a 1U height and 19 inches rack. For even larger installations, it allows different kinds of audio network cards to be used and up to 64 OCTO Pro units can be connected over XavnetTM networks (100Mbit & 1Gbit) as a redundant loop, or limitless units in star-wired topology via AVB network (1Gbit). Various audio I/O cards are available such as analog audio cards with AEC, analog phone cards, VoIP cards, AES/EBU digital I/O cards, as well as the exclusive digital OCTO-Link cards, which is available for two channel inputs and two channel outputs to simultaneously transmit digital audio and control per port. The OL-AMP is equipped with 2 amplifier output channels (max. 20W output power/each),

2 control input and 2 contact output for logic control, RS485 for external remote control,

and 24VDC power input. To provide a new level of the flexibility in applications of OCTO

series, the exclusive OCTO-Link is designed to connect to the OL-AMP and the RWD devices.

Each OCTO-Link port provides 2 audio channel inputs and 2 audio channel outputs which

simultaneously transmits bidirectional data communication in digital format. The OL-AMP is

capable to cascade up to 16 OL-AMP units and one RWD wall-mounted remote (at the end

of the bus). The installation and cabling process allows direct connection with the OL-AMP

via a single CAT5/6 up to 820ft/250M or 2km~20km/6561kft~65616kft via fiber optic. The

OL-AMP also has all necessary protection circuits to detect the issue of overload or overheat

and protect the device against all potential hazards.

RWD-AIO

In order to adhere the “easy to use” principle, the RWD series are designed as the wall-mount remote devices and offer simple connection by using a single CAT5/6 cable to expand up to 820 ft (250M) via OCTO-Link, or or adds a repeater to permit more distant transmission. Furthermore, Each OCTO-Link port provides 2 audio channel inputs and 2 audio channel outputs which simultaneously transmits bidirectional data communication in digital format. To adapt to various kinds of application, the RWD-series comes with several kinds of interface, and available for EU and US type, too. In addition, the RWD-series has a IR receiver built-in for user to control the unit without standing in front of the machines. All of these devices can be integrated into our life and create a truly smart homes/offices.

The RWD-AIO is a wall-mount remote controller with 2.2" touch screen, plus a RCA input/output connector and a XLR connector for mic input. The intuitive touch panel allows for various function controls such as logic control, volume control, message play, dynamic GUI status display, custom image button, logo, background etc..

The RAC can be used to adjust the source settings such as level control, parameters remotely. The two sets of 5/8 steps knobs on RAC can be programmed by software. The RAC5/8 is available for US and EU type.

The URC200 is a programmable remote controller which is powered over IP and can be easily integrated with room control such as light turn on/off, curtain, audio control to create smart homes and offices. It features a scalable knob, 2 buttons for ‘enter’ and ‘back’, and a LCD screen.

The ANM is designed to monitor and automatically adjust the level of announcements and music playback based on a measure of the ambient noise in the PA zone. The ANM will maintain the level of public address audio above the background noise in order to guarantee that the announcement is intelligible, yet at a comfortable level.

To meet different applications needs and requirement, the OCTO Jr, OCTO Sr and OCTO Pro are designed to have its exclusive software suite. The highly integrated DSP control can be easily programmed via the intuitive software.

Message PlayerThe OCTO series offers a built-in message storage with up to 4

hours long capacity, the audio files can be stored into the OCTO

processor and activated in real-time. By using the Scheduler, the

alert broadcasting can be played automatically such as refraining

smoking at the building or alert the public not to leave their luggage

unattended. The message file can also be activated by using logic

inputs and 3rd party controls such as AMX and Crestron.

Each Scheduler can be programmed with numerous schedules with

hundreds of actions. By cascading multiple schedulers, any kinds of

complex applications will be allowed.

The software contains a Network Paging component which the

paging function can be easily programmed into DPM or OL-T5

paging microphone. It’s ultimately flexible feature allows any kind of

source devices to cooperate with, even a rich touch screen as user

interface, such as PPM-IT5. The component also can deal with a native

microphone and a push button for requiring a call, for a cost-effective

solution.
