Application procedures

1. After viewing through the various GIM 2012 positions, students are to register through the following internet link: https://stuweb.nus.edu.sg/osa/career/event_registration/GIM_Programme2012/Lists/GIM%20Programme%202012/AllItems.htm

2. All registrations should reach the NUS Career Centre by 29 February 2012 (Wednesday), 2359 hour. No change/amendment will be accepted after the above deadline.

3. Upon receiving students‟ registration, the NUS Career Centre will contact shortlisted students for a first round of interviews. Company interviews/phone interviews will be conducted if necessary.

4. Only shortlisted students will be called for interviews before 14 March 2012 (Wednesday).

1) Responsible for the post-execution trade processing and internal controls from

Operations Interns participate in a 10-12 week program based in Singapore, Hong

Kong or Japan providing a unique opportunity and exposure to life in Operations.

Interns are given a true associate experience, as internships mirror fulltime

positions and include goal-setting and a formal review process. In addition to

learning opportunities there are formal and social opportunities to interact and

network with senior colleagues.

Placement

Operations Interns are placed directly with a specific team throughout the

internship.

The Internship program begins with a few days of orientation and induction to the

1) Study the impact of the new incentive scheme implemented in Apr 2012 on

service performance versus the previous scheme. Analyze the data of the

previous and new scheme if it has impact on the service behaviour. The data

will be provided by the vendor.

2) Perform root-cause analysis of the trends and identity red flags, such as

ineffective performance driver for retail / F&B / Services. Review the

questionnaire results and assess the improvements and decline in service

ratings.

3) Provide recommendations on ways to re-calibrate the Scheme and/or

questionnaire for better effectiveness.

4) Brainstorm on ways to further automate and ensure a seamless operational

process as well as access to incentive information for both CAG and tenants.

5) Study the viability and benefits of integrating a QSM orientation programme

with a QSM service training programme (currently conducted by separate

vendors).

6) Analyss customer datasets and develop informative reports and dashboards

for management reporting.

Brief description

of Mentor‟s

present

position:

Pricing and Commercial Strategy (PCS) Division is responsible for the

management and pricing of airport charges, with the aim of ensuring Changi

Airport remains competitive as an air hub; while also delivering a reasonable rate

of return for the company. Primary duties include the pricing of airport charges

including aircraft landing and parking fees, passenger service charges, car parking,

utilities and other service charges; carrying out cost reviews including analyzing

internal revenue and cost data as well as passenger and aircraft movement data;

undertaking financial modeling and simulation analysis of various airport charges;

as well as conduct feasibility studies for airport development and investment

projects. PCS is also responsible for customer insight analytics to enable CAG to

further understand the shopping behaviour and travel preferences of our

passengers at Changi Airport.

(advertising, events, videos), corporate & brand identity, exhibitions, in-airport and

Conduct a benchmark study of training and proficiency requirements across

international Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting organizations, SCDF and possible

other private sector companies in related industries. The project will include the

design and conduct of a staff survey on the effectiveness of the current training

and proficiency requirements in place and to solicit suggestions on how to further

improve the current system. The survey will also gather feedback from internal

staff on the effectiveness of existing people development and people engagement

initiatives.

Learning Outcome:

Familiarity of training and proficiency standards across international and local

organizations providing emergency services and also have experience in the

conducting a survey from design to implementation to analysis. The

recommendations to enhance the current training and proficiency system can be a

benchmark for other organizations to follow.

Study will uncover how successful has CAG been in its efforts, what more can be

done to raise Changi's online profile and extend its reach among stakeholders and

how CAG can best measure the effectiveness of its digital programme.

This project will require the intern to:

a) Study the upcoming trends in social media.

b) Compare what Changi is doing vis-a-vis other airports and

c) Propose a strategy in which we can increase fan numbers and deepen the

engagement Changi has with fans.

Learning Outcome:

Application of social media platforms to an organization's overall communication

strategy.
