GEORGI STARDELOV (MACEDONIA)

As the recipient of World Prize of Humanism 2020

Venue:HOUSE OF URANIA – MACEDONIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES AND ARTS, OHRIDDate: 18 January 2020 19:00h.

The primary mission of The Ohrid Academy of Humanism is to contin-ue the vision of St. Clement and St. Naum, founders of the first univer-sity in this part of Europe, which was in the same time the first school of humanism, established in the 9th century.

They were the students of the apostles Ss. Cyril and Methodius. In 1980, the Pope John Paul II proclaimed Ss. Cyril and Methodius for Patrons of Europe.

Ohrid – the city of UNESCO is known as “The Slavic Jerusalem” or “Bal-kan Venice”, celebrating the glory of Lichnidos (the antique name of Ohrid) - The City of light, all around the world.
