This is a ‘before’ slide taken in late 2004 of Hyde Park garden where Turtle Island took on (3) residential projects – with original work inspiring neighboring homeowners for their own landscaping projects. This image is the before work picture of a home landscape, with ‘after’ shown on SLIDE #37; the following 8 slides, #11 – #18 of an urban waterfall / patio garden are without a dramatic ‘before’ image. However, the yard in the next few images is three lots to the south in the same development, and it’s torn-up beginnings are not too different from what is shown here. A tough start for any new garden – new construction soils.
