STANDARD FEATURES

Construction: Hetron 99P ® polyester resin

with UV inhibitor, synthetic veil, Class 1

flame spread of 25 or less.

Minimum size: 12” wide x 24” high.

Maximum Size: 60” wide x 120” high.

Frame: 6” deep channel, 1/4” thick.

Blades: 1/8” thick, Center or end pivot.

Pivots and Bearings: Fiberglass Reinforced

Polypropylene.

Linkage: Fiberglass reinforced

polypropylene & FRP control arm.

Operating Range: Opens to 45°.

Dampers: Parallel Blade, Gravity Back draft

type.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Moffitt Corporation Fiberglass Wall Louvers are fabricated for the rigors of industry. Designed to provide

maximum air flow at a minimum pressure drop and water entrainment. Offered in both stationary and

adjustable configurations, these fiberglass louvers are serviceable in hostile environments with excellent

chemical resistance, drainable blade designs and several mounting options.

Furnish and Install Fiberglass 6” Adjustable Blade Louver and accessories as indicated on drawings.

1.2. QUALITY ASSURANCE MOFFITT (Jacksonville, FL, 1 800-474-3267) FRP Products establish the standard of quality required. Manufacturer and erector shall demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of related industry experience.

1.3. SUBSTITUTIONS No substitutions will be considered unless written request for approval has been submitted by the bidder and has been received by the designer at least ten (10) days prior to bid date. Any proposed substitutions should meet the standards set by the specification.

1.4. SUBMITTALS Furnish approval drawings prior to fabrication and erection drawings prior to shipment showing all erection procedures and accessories required for the specified product.

2.1. CONSTRUCTION 2.1.1. Unit shall be constructed of isophalic polyester fire retardant resin equivalent to Hetron 99P® polyester resin with

a Class 1 flamespread of 25 or less. Ultraviolet inhibitors shall be incorporated into the resin. Louver sections shall include fiberglass unidirectional filaments and synthetic veil. Louver shall have a minimum of 40% glass by weight. Coloring shall be achieved by use of pigments impregnated through the entire profile.

2.1.2. Louver frames shall be 6" deep channel type and a minimum 1/4" thickness 2.1.3. Louver blades shall be "K" style design and a minimum 1/8" thickness, opening at 45°. 2.1.4. Louver bearings, pivots, linkages and brackets shall be fiberglass reinforced polypropylene. Control arms shall be

of fiberglass construction. 2.1.5. Louver blades shall operate by (fiberglass thumbscrew locking quadrant, pull cable operation, electric motor

operation). 2.1.6. Hardware shall be (304SS, 306SS, Monel).

2.2. OPTIONS/ACCESSORIES

Available accessories include: 1/2" mesh polypropylene bird screen mounted in removable PVC frame, SS screen, fiberglass mullion covers.
