William ShakespeareWilliam Shakespeare (26 April 1564 –

23 April 1616) was an English poet and playwrite, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's pre-eminent dramatist. He is often called England's national poet and the “Bard of Avon" (or simply "The Bard"). His surviving works consist of 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and several other poems. His plays have been translated into every major living language and are performed more often than those of any other playwright.

Charles DickensCharles Dickens (1812-1870), English Victorian

era author wrote numerous highly acclaimed novels including his most autobiographical David Copperfield (1848-1850);

As a prolific 19th Century author of short stories, plays, novellas, novels, fiction and non, during his lifetime Dickens became known the world over for his remarkable characters, his mastery of prose in the telling of their lives, and his depictions of the social classes, mores and values of his times. Some considered him the spokesman for the poor, for he definitely brought much awareness to their plight, the downtrodden and the have-nots.

Keira Knightley• Knightley was born in Teddington,

Lomdon, England, the daughter of Sharman Macdonald, a Scottish award-winning playwrite, and Will Knightley, an English theatre and television actor Knightley has dyslexia, but nevertheless was successful in school and was thus permitted to acquire a talent agent and pursue an acting career. She performed in a number of local amateur productions including After Juliet(written by her mother) and United States (written by her then drama teacher, Ian McShane).

Daniel Wroughton Craig• Daniel Wroughton Craig (born 2 March 1968)

is an English actor. His early film roles included The Power of One, A Kid In Kina Arthur’s Court and the television episodes Sharpe's Eagle and "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles: Daredevils of the Desert." He went on to star in his breakthrough performance Laver Cake and also Lara Croft:

• Tomb Raider. opposite Angelina Jolie.• Craig became the sixth actor to portray the

fictional secret agent James Bond in the film series of the same name. He made his debut as the character in the 2006 film, Casino Royale, to critical acclaim and was nominated for a BAFTA award. He is currently filming the 22nd James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace, due to be released November 7th 2008.

The Beatles• The Beatles were a pop and rock group from

Liverpool, England. They are one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed bands in the history of popular music. In the United Kingdom, The Beatles released more than 40 different singles, albums, and EPs that reached number one. This commercial success was repeated in many other countries; The Beatles are the best-selling musical act of all time in the United States, according to the Recording Industry Association of America.

• The Beatles led the mid-1960s musical "British Invasion" into the United States. Their clothes, styles, and statements made them trend-setters.
