Embroidered Accessory Bag By Karen Charles Make this fun, embroidered Accessory Bag using the HUSQVARNA VIKING® DESIGNER DIAMOND Royale™. Add an initial to personalize it and you have the perfect gift for anyone!

Supplies: ! One 11” square lime green fabric ! Two 11” squares damask fabric ! One 11” square black fabric ! One 4” square of lime green fabric ! Two 5½” x 11” INSPIRA® Fusible Fleece ! One 11” square INSPIRA® In-R-Form batting alternative ! One 12” x 23” INSPIRA® Tear-A-Way stabilizer ! 12” ribbon ! One 12” black zipper

Embroider:

1. Toggle to Embroidery Mode .

2. Hoop 260 x 200 hoop with tear-a-way stabilizer.

3. Lay zipper right side up in the center of hoop, vertically, with zipper tab facing up and toward the top of hoop.

4. Pin in place.

5. Select the Stitch Menu .

6. Chose Menu A .

7. Select stitch A1:8 .

8. Change stitch length to 2.5 .

9. Touch and hold Duplicate .

10. A pop-up window appears.

11. Enter 96 and touch

12. Use arrows to move design to 0.0 x - 8.5

13. Slide your hoop onto the embroidery unit.

14. Touch GO.

15. Sew Color #1 using your foot control instead of the Start/Stop button; stitch zipper to the stablizer.

16. Place 5½” fusible fleece in between folded 11” lime green fabric.

17. Do the same with Damask.

18. Lay the green fabric sandwich with the fold along the left

side of the zipper

19. Use your foot control, stitch the first side of the zipper in place.

20. Open Design Positioning .

21. Select Step 2.

22. Move line to the right using the arrow till it reads 8.5.

23. Touch .

24. Using your foot control, stitch the second side of the zipper in place.

25. Lay fabric sandwich in place on the right side with fold on edge of zipper.

26. Stitch the fabric in place.

27. Return to Embroidery Edit .

28. Select Step Through Designs .

29. Choose Delete .

30. Open File Manager .

31. Select the Accessory Bag design.

32. Touch .

33. Open Font Menu .

34. Select Clarendon Size 20.

35. Type in your initial.

36. Touch .

37. Activate Rotate .

38. Touch Rotate 90º three times.

39. Select Position .

40. Use the Arrow Keys to move your initial into the center of the oval.

41. Touch .

42. Pull the zipper tab down before the next step.

43. Touch Fix to baste the fabrics together along the edge. Use your foot control instead of the Start/Stop button.

44. Stitch Color # 1 - placement line for applique.

45. Add lime green fabric over placement stitch.

46. Press Start/Stop button to double stitch fabric to bag.

47. Trim Fabric close to stitching line. Do Not Remove from hoop.

48. Press Start/Stop button to stitch satin stitch.

49. Stitch Monogram & buttonholes.

50. Remove the hoop from the machine (but leave the fabric hooped).

51. Use sharp seam ripper or buttonhole knife to open buttonholes.

52. Starting from back, insert ribbon threw buttonholes using stylus.

53. Leave tails underneath, ends will be stitched in place the next step.

54. Make a quilt sandwich with remaining fabric. Damask fabric right side down, INSPIRA® In-R-

Form in middle, black fabric right side out on top.

55. Lay sandwich on hoop. Slide the hoop back onto the machine.

56. Stitch last color, using your foot control.

57. Unhoop your bag.

Sew: 1. Return to Embroidery Edit .

2. Toggle to Sewing Mode .

3. Remove the Sensor Q-foot and attach the ankle.

4. Snap on the B foot.

5. Trim seam allowance to ¼”. 6. Tear away stabilizer.

7. Lay ruler on corners and cut away 1½” square from each corner from

outside edge.

8. Select stitch E1:1 .

9. Pinch open ends together, matching seams. Sew, aligning the edge of the fabric with the edge of the foot for a ¼” seam allowance.

10. Stitch remaining corners together.

11. Flip bag right side out through zipper opening. Your bag is done!
