KEPEMIMPINAN DALAM ERA LEARNING ORGANIZATION
The Leaders New Work (Peter Senge, 1990)
1. Leader as designer2. Leader as steward3. Leader as teacher
Senge, 1990
LEADER AS A DESIGNER
1. Integrating the component technologies2. Design requires something working in practice
The new job descriptions of leaders will involve design of the organizationand its policies. This will require seeing the company as a system in which theparts are not only internally connected, but also connected to the externalenvironment and clarifyng how the whole system can work better.
(Senge, 1990)
Dynamic complexity
1. Sebuah disiplin melihat segala sesuatu secara keseluruhan.2. Kerangka kerja melihat interrelasi antar sesuatu bukan melihat
sesuatu itu sendiri.3. Kerangka kerja melihat pola-pola perubahan sesuatu bukan
sangat kompleks
Disiplin Berfikir Serba Sistem
Apa Resiko Kalau Tidak Berubah Menuju ke BerfikirSerba Sistem?
The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence …… it is to act with yesterday‟s logic. Peter Drucker
Unfortuenately, “most systems analysis” focus on detail complexity not dynamic complexity. Simulation of thousands of variables and complex arrays of details can actually distract us from seeing patterns and major interrelationships Peter Senge

Tipologi serba sistem
•Serba sistem alam (natural systems)
•Serba sistem fisik buatan (designed physical systems)
•Serba sistem abstrak buatan (designed abstract systems)
•Serba sistem aktivitas manusia (human activity systems)
Tindakan manusia dalam merancang sesuatu merupakansalah contoh nyata serba sistem aktivitas manusia.Serba sistem aktivitas manusia ini bersifat lebihabstrak dibanding serba sistem alam dan serba sistembuatan. Tetapi, di dunia ini dapat diamati dengan jelaskumpulan aktivitas manusia yang jumlahnya tidakterbatas, yang kurang lebih memiliki keteraturandalam keseluruhannya secara sadar (more or lessconsciously ordered in wholes) sebagai hasil darisuatu tujuan atau misi tertentu.

A causal loop diagram (CLD) is a diagram that aids in visualizing howinterrelated variables affect one another. The diagram consists of a setof nodes representing the variables connected together. Therelationships between these variables, represented by arrows, can belabelled as positive or negative.

System archetypes
Struktur Baku
System archetypes
System archetypes are also known as "classic systemstories," "generic structures," and "templates." Theyfacilitate rapid understanding and diagramming of asystem. By applying them habitually, you will learn to"see" structure when you hear one of these classicstories
Why Study the Systems Archetypes?Make Systems Thinking visible. Are well understood because they recur frequently. Are easily transferable. Shift focus from blame to inquiry.Naturally promote Systems Thinking when used in a group setting.
Hard systems methodology: Systems Archetypes
List of Systems Archetypes
Reinforcing and balancing feedback are the building blocks forall the other archetypes. In this module we will review nine ofthe most common archetypes. There are a few more that havebeen proposed in the literature, and there will probably beothers, but this set will help you identify a basic structureunderlying most situations.

SOFT SYSTEMS METHODOLOGY
REAL WORLD AS HUMAN ACTIVITY SYSTEMS = HOLON
Soft Systems Methodology
1. Compexity2. Never static3. Contain multiple interacting perceptions of ‘reality’4. Different people have different taken-as-given (and often
unexamined) assumptions about the world5. Contain people who have different worldviews6. Contain people who are trying to act purposefully, with intention,
not simple acting by instinct or randomly.
Ciri problematical situation
1. The existence of conflicting wroldviews2. the ubiquity of would-be purposeful actions Tackling problematical

Leader as Steward
1. The leader develop a unique relationship to his or her own personal vision.
2. He or she becomes a steward of the vision3. In the context of building learning organization, …. to see the
way individuals committed to such work describe their own sense of purpose.
It is not what the vision isIt is what the vision does

Visionary Leadership
SHARED VISION
46
Leader as teacher
1. It is not about teaching people how to achieve their vision
2. It is about forstering learning, for everyone.3. Such leaders help people throughout the organization
develop systemic understandings.
47
How can such leaders be developed?
It is the by product of a lifetime effort --- effort to developconceptual and communication skills, to reflect on personal valuesand to align personal behavior with values, to learn how to listenand to appreciate others and others’ ideas.
48
The importance of Five Learning Disciplines
They provide a framework for focusing the effort to developthe capacity to lead. Systems thinking, personal mastery, mental models, building shared vision, and the team learning--- these might just as well be called the leadership disciplinesas the learning disciplines.

Systems Thinking dalam
Reformasi Birokrasi
