This section describes briefly a summary of your career in science, academic and research; themain scientific and technological achievements and goals in your line of research in the medium-and long- term. It also includes other important aspects or peculiarities.

Tengo 30 años de experiencia investigadora y 18 años de docencia universitaria. Soy doctoren Prehistoria, Historia Antigua y Arqueología por la Universidad de Barcelona. Mis líneasde investigación son la economía y sociedad romana, con especial dedicación al estudiode la epigrafía sobre Instrumentum Domesticum Inscriptum. También soy especialista enlas TIC, en los campos de multimedia y diseño de bases de datos. Diseño y programolaboratorios virtuales como plataformas científicas online. Desde 2012 soy investigadoradscrito al ICAC, donde previamente había disfrutado de un contrato del Programa Juande la Cierva (Convocatoria 2008). Desde 1998 soy profesor/consultor de los Estudios deInformática, Multimedia y Telecomunicación (UOC).

Mis aportaciones científicas más relevantes guardan relación con mi principal línea deinvestigación referida al Instrumentum Domesticum Inscriptum, y de manera especial a laepigrafía sobre cerámica (ánforas, dolia, tegulae) con sus implicaciones para el estudiosocioeconómico en la Bética, Tarraconense, Roma, y los campamentos militares de la fronteramilitar de de Germania.

He realizado trabajos de investigación en el Monte Testaccio (Roma), Xanten (Alemania),Neuss (Alemania), Bregenz (Austria), Túnez, Nimega (Holanda), Istria (Croácia).

Tengo 72 publicaciones, con 3 libros, 43 capítulos de libros, 22 artículos en revistas. Además,11 materiales docentes para los Estudios de Multimedia e Informática de la UOC. Heparticipado en 31 congresos, 18 Seminarios y Workshops (la mayoría de ellos internacionales).

Recientemente, he formado parte del comité científico y organizador del III CongresoInternacional de la SECAH, adscrito al Proyecto de I+D+i HAR 2011-28244 (2014).

Por otro lado, entre mis proyectos de Laboratorio Virtual cabe destacar por su impactointernacional: la base de datos CEIPAC de epigrafía anfórica latina (http://ceipac.ub.edu/),y el catálogo de ánforas hispanas del proyecto de I+D+i "Amphorae ex Hispania" (http://amphorae.icac.cat/).

Acredito 11 meses de estancias postdoctorales en diversas instituciones internacionales (Aix-en-Provence, Brijoni-Croacia-, Nimega, Bonn).
