PRAYER OF CONFESSION

(si lent confession….) Loving God, we confess that we find it hard to trust you. While our desire is to join you in walking on the water, our fears keep us planted in our boats. Underneath these fears is the doubt that you wil l be faithful and allow us to participate in miracles. Forgive us and assure us that we have infinite value in your eyes. Help us to believe that you wil l never let us go. In Jesus' name. Amen.

OFFERTORY Thy Mercy, My God Sandra McCracken Covenant Folk Band arr. T. Brown Al l , on cue:

Band: Thy mercy, my God, is the theme of my song, the joy of my heart and the boast of my tongue. Your free grace alone from the first to the last has won my affections and bound my soul fast.

Without your sweet mercy I could not live here; sin would reduce me to utter despair. But through your free goodness my spirit revives, and you who first made me still keeps me alive.

Your mercy is more than a match for my heart, which wonders to feel its own hardness depart. Dissolved by your goodness, I fall to the ground and weep for the praise of the mercy I’ve found.

Great Father of mercies, your goodness I own and the covenant love of your crucified son. All praise to the Spirit whose whisper divine seals mercy and pardon and righteousness mine!
