imperial War museum north offers a modern and unique location for all commercial filming and photography. the spectacular, award-winning building (recently named as one of the top 10 buildings of the last century in the rough guide to england), has influenced many location managers and various companies to use the museum for various commercial shoots. most recently, shoots have included the filming of Paradox – BBc one, the filming of Waterloo Road – BBc one, photography for the new citroen picasso and photography for adidas.

We offer possibilities both inside and out and our approach is flexible and creative, whilst being sympathetic to our collections and visitors. We have an experienced locations team who will advise you of the most suitable location within and around our building for your desired shoot. our galleries and exhibition space can also be hired for almost any filming or photography.
