CLASS MANAGEMENT: SIMON SAYS

ObjectivesThe student will be able to:

• Relate the vocabulary given with reality• Socialite with the rest of the class• Apply the contents given in different

classroom contexts• Practice their pronunciation during the

activity

Materials• Flashcards with colours to know what their

team is.

CLASS MANAGEMENT: SIMON SAYS• THE RULES

The class make three groups of ten people and each group has a colour: green, yellow and red.

If the teacher says “Simon says…”, students will have to do the action.

If teacher says “Simon (colour) says….” only the group of that colour has to do the action.

If the teacher says only the action or other name that it is not Simon, the groups don´t have to do anything.

• Class make groups of seven person. • Each member has to take one object from the bag.• One person begins and the next one has to repeat the last object and add their own object. • Example: Student 1: crayon. Student 2: crayon, rubber.• The student who makes a mistake, is out from the game.

BOARD GAMES: THE RACOON GAME

ObjectivesThe student will

be able to:

• Learn a new game• Practice some specific vocabulary given in class• Socialite with the rest of the class• Have fun while learning new vocabulary• Enjoy the learning process

Materials

• The Racoon game (board)• Counters (depending on the number of students)• Some dices for each group

BOARD GAMES: THE RACOON GAME• THE RULES

• Each player has got a counter.• When is your turn, you have to roll the dice.• The player will have to go forward the same squares

as the number of the dice.• You have to do and say the action in your square.• The rest of the players have to decide if the action is

right or not. If it is right, they have to say “You are it” and the player continues the game but if it is wrong they have to say “You miss the turn”.

• If you are in the racoon square you have to say “from racoon to racoon and I roll the dice because it is my turn”.

• The winner is the first person who arrives to the racoon face and say “I am the winner”.

• Learn a different style of learning• Practice the pronunciation• Revise some vocabulary given in class• Enjoy the music by learning

• Written song (“Imagine”, The Beatles) on the blackboard

• Lyrics for the students to sing the song.Materials

• The class make four groups.• Each group has the lyrics of the song.• The teacher decides what part of the

song will sing each group.• When teacher says “Everybody join it”,

all the groups have to sing together.
