VERIFY – VERBAL REASONING

Designed to measure a candidate’s ability to evaluate the logic of various kinds of argument as presented in written form, the Verbal Reasoning test measures the ability to determine the support for conclusions drawn using content that typifies a variety of work settings.

VERIFY – DEDUCTIVE REASONING

The Deductive Reasoning Test measures the ability to: • draw logical conclusions based on information provided • identify strengths and weaknesses of arguments • complete scenarios using incomplete information. The test is designed to provide an indication of how an individual will perform when asked to develop solutions when presented with information and draw sound conclusions from data. Sample tasks for jobs that may require deductive reasoning include, but are not limited to: • evaluate arguments • analyze scenarios • draw logical conclusions.

The Verify Reading Comprehension test measures a candidate's ability to read and understand written materials. The task involves reading a passage of text, and answering a short written question. The content of the test makes no assumptions about prior knowledge, with applicants directed to use only the information in the passage to derive their answer.

VERIFY- SPATIAL ABILITY

The Spatial Ability Test measures the ability to rapidly perceive and manipulate stimuli to accurately visualize how an object will look after it has been rotated in space. The test is designed to provide an indication of how an individual will perform when asked to manipulate shapes, interpret information and visualize solutions. The Spatial Ability test is completely non-verbal and features only shapes and figures. Sample tasks for jobs that may require spatial ability include, but are not limited to: • rapidly perceiving and manipulating stimuli to accurately visualize how an object will look after it has been rotated • correctly interpreting graphical information • visualizing the interactions of various parts of machines • efficiently communicating visual information (e.g., using charts or graphs) in a presentation
