Mixed Media
Experimenting with the connotations of the world “cloud” I thought of the words pure, flow and freedom. I expressed these words in this art work by using technique like marbling to create the phoenix in the background. The clouds and green lotus was done by lino-print and the coloured lotus done with oil pastel. The number of panels, three in chinese culture represents “birth” which is also symbolised in the background as rebirth of the phoenix bird ties in closely with my Chinese heritage. The Lotus is the symbol of peace and serenity while it contrast with the fierce fury of the Phoenix.

Photography/ Set Design
I am the school photographer and has taken many interesting angled shots of school plays.
I was also hired to be the photographer and set designer for prom. Left is me and a class mate with the props we built and top is pictured the final set up, ready for photographing.

Hanging Storage/
Clock Design
This product was designed to make use of walls in homes as storage which is often not thought upon. This clock storage named “OMG” because i t is shaped l ike a exclamation mark is convenient, narrow but compact. It aims as a key/ small object storage, meant for hanging on walls or hooks near doors as a sign for the user not to forget the small necessities and also to check time.

Wood Work
This is the finished wooden sculpture an word illusion art HATE/ LOVE. From the front it spells out the word HATE but as the viewer turn 90o to the right the word morph into the word LOVE. It represents the silver lining to all situations which may be considered bad. There is a delicate balance between the negative and positive sides of a situations.
