HISTORY

• The Buckingham Palace was build in 1703.• Buckingham Palace has served as the official

London residence of Britain's sovereigns since 1837. The Palace is also the venue for great Royal ceremonies, State Visits, all of which are organised by the Royal Household.

ROYAL COLLECTION

• The royal collection has the Crown Jewels, the Royal Archives and the Royal Philatelic.

• For over five hundred years Kings and Queens have amassed collections of art and artefacts.

BOBBIES

• The change of guard it’s an old tradition in London. The first time was done in 1660.

• Guard only changes once a day, the change lasts 45 minutes and is only done at 11:30 am.

CURIOSITIES

• Buckingham Palace has 775 rooms. the building is 108 metres long ,120 metres deep and 24 metres high. More than 50,000 people visit the Palace each year as guests to banquets, lunches, dinners, receptions and the Royal Garden Parties.
