Damon and the Sh!t Kickers are from all over, Montana to the

Ukraine, and every place in between.

They are a self-described outlaw county band that formed in 2008. They have a diverse background in music ranging from punk rock and heavy metal, to jazz and country. When they get together though, there is no doubt that all these boys are all about playing some good old country music that they grew up listening to.

Lyn Avenue is a four piece Country-Pop band from Savannah, Georgia.

By combining poppy melodic hooks with unfeigned heartfelt lyrics, Lyn

Avenue has created a unique euphonic experience. Vocalist Cc Witt has

a warm and distinctly wonderful singing tone with just the right amount

of country twang. Her voice is perfectly complimented by the simple, yet

striking guitar parts of lead guitarist Patrick Ellington, the thumping bass-

lines from bassist, Larry Jones, and the tasteful beats of drummer, Randy

Cuba. From the markedly bittersweet, to the profoundly beautiful, Lyn

Avenue’s song themes range greatly, guaranteeing a song and story to fit

any circumstance.

The Chuck Courtenay Band is a hard-rocking, electric group that is made up of veteran players with several decades of combined experience as professional musicians (touring and/or recording with several major country stars), They have emerged as one of the tightest and most versatile outfits of their kind, and the lengthy, memorable shows at honky-tonks, country dance clubs, bars and festivals nationwide have cemented their position as one of the most promising acts on today’s club circuit. They now play over two dozen shows a month (mostly one-nighters or two-night stands) in an ever-widening radius and travel in their own customized tour bus. The group’s high-energy setlist straddles the line between classic country and twangy, roadhouse rock and roll -- an intentional blend that’s a source of great pride for Chuck himself, who’s no fan of the bland, overproduced pop which is far too often marketed as “country music” these days. Chuck’s first CD release was expertly co-produced by his longtime pedal steel man Tommy Butler and tracked in Nashville with some of

Music City’s finer players. It was an impressive debut all around, and was released to positive reviews on a small, independent, Nashville label. Yet, as strong as that disc was, the difference between that record and GOOD SIDE OF THIS BAR (his brand-new four-song EP) is evident from the first note. Credit that “million dollar shine” to Dave McAfee, who for the past 13 years has played drums both on records and stages around the world for Toby Keith, and who co-produced and drummed on Jamey Johnson’s massive hit album THAT LONESOME SONG (which was nominated for three Grammys and five American Country Music Awards, and which

also contained the Song of The Year “In Color”). The result is a stunningly well-crafted collection of potential singles that easily rivals most anything you’ll hear on Top 40 country radio today.

Music is an extention of the Soul and Spirit. As we live we evolve, and it flows

through the music. Hopefully our music says how we have grown and been

influenced by the world, and the changes that have taken place in each decade.

We have evolved, as has our music. Every soul has something to say. What better

way than through being free to create!!!

It is difficult and often highly dangerous to hang a label on music. Labels can

close doors to some of the most exciting talents, and close ears to artists whose

fresh vitality demands to be heard. Mother’s Finest is a powerful band, but they

are not typical.

The group has created a sound they describe as a fusion of different musical

forms- Blues, Soul, Funk, Rock, Gospel, R&B, Metal and Jazz - taken directly from

the street to the stage to the studio, that is Afro-Euro Mosaic Soulful and Electric,

transcending musical division, and negative stereotyping.

With every album there are different members, with different musical outlooks.

If you listen to all the MF album’s, the how is obvious. If we have one flaw, it’s

that we understand and enjoy all types of modern, pop music, and we’re still not

afraid to impliment the ideology of the unit as we see fit.

Back in the day, this kind of fusion music was rare to say the least, but the versatility

and originality of Mother’s Finest, brought down many barriers. In the late 70’s,

we got started playing in a club in Fort Lauderdale Fla. called the “Flying Machine”.

Paul, the owner, gave us an audition that lasted for 16 weeks.

Mother’s Finest original members are Joyce Kennedy and Glenn Murdock, lead

vocals, Jerry “Wyzard” Seay, bass, Gary “Mo” Moore, lead guitar, Michael Keck,

keyboards and Barry (BB Queen) Borden, drummer. Today’s lineup includes John

Hayes, on guitar and Dion Murdock on drums. The band plays originals and covers

and all the band members have had their moment writing original material.

Alex Cooley’s Electric Ballroom was where Tom Werman of Epic records saw

Mother’s Finest for the first time in Atlanta Georgia. They went on to record their

first of three gold albums “Another Mother Further”, “Mother Factor”, and “Mother’s

Finest Live “.

We have been asked where the inspiration to create flows from, and is there a

particular

theme in our original music? As mentioned before, it comes from EVOLVEMENT!

We just want to keep getting better and better. To keep it pushing in the groove.

Our inspirations come from wanting to seek out the truth about longevity, health

and the metaphysics of life, spiritualism, religions, to rise above the normal ways

of thinking and so on.

Known internationally, they are incomparable and unique in their ability to bring

it to you in concert. And today they are still one of the best LIVE bands on the

planet touring year long, but calling Atlanta home.

In today’s world of multiplicity, and ethnic diversity, there is a oneness in people

and music that has always been in the sound of Mother’s Finest.

Q: How did the band get started? A: In the late 70’s, Joyce and Glenn found themself’s stranded in Florida, and needing a band to make money. We got started playing in a club in Fort Lauderdale Fla. called the “Flying Machine” Paul, the owner, gave us an audition that lasted for 16 weeks. Q: Where did the name originate?A: We wanted to be some bad Mother F...ers! Q: How would you describe the band’s sound?A: It is a melting of different musical forms-blues, rock, funk, soul, jazz, and metal. Q: Has the evolvement of Mother’s Finest been continuous? Where the group is now compared to the previous decades? A: Yes, because music is an extention of the Soul and Spirit. As we live we evolve, and it flows through the music. Hopefully our music says how we have grown and been influenced by the world, and the changes that have taken place in each decade. We have evolved, as has our music. Every soul has something to say. What better way than through being free to create!!! Q: How have different members influenced the sound?A: With every album there are different member’s, with different musical outlooks. If you listen to all the MF album’s, the how is obvious. If we have one flaw, it’s that we understand and enjoy all types of modern, pop music, and we’re still not afraid to impliment the ideology of the unit as we see fit. Q: The band plays original material and covers, who does most of the writing?A: Each of the original member’s, Joyce Wyz, Mo and Murdock have had their moment. Q: Where does the inspiration to create flow from? Is there a particular theme in your original music?A: I think you said it earlier, EVOLVEMENT! We just want to keep getting better and better. To keep it pushing in the groove. Our inspirations come from wanting to seek out the truth about longevity, health and the metaphysics of life, spiritualism, religions, to rise above the normal ways of thinking and so on. Q: What are the band’s goals for the future?A: To do what we can to make music in the money business. Q: Where can people find out more about your music?A: Any information on the band can be found on our web site:

Jazzmyn Callis was born in Southern Utah and spent

most of her life living comfortably as a desert rat. Not too

long ago she moved to Georgia in order to be closer to the

school, SCAD, which she wishes to attend. Jazzmyn grew

up wanting to be a veterinarian, and did her best to draw

every animal that roamed through her books. Then when

she decided that was silly she decided she wanted to

become a writer, and doodled all over her notebooks in an attempt to find

a story. It wasn’t until high school when she realized that the thing she had

been looking for all that

time had been art. And ever

since then she has been

living with the contented

reassurance that she

would be that happy artsy

person who would jump

at any opportunity to draw

pirates because pirates are

awesome and everyone

knows it for a fact.

Savannah’s American Hologram is a gutsy and eclectic power house trio comprised of Britt Scott, Craig Tanner, and Eric Britt. Although Americana Goth Pop and Roots has surfaced as a description, songwriting is what defines their music. Interweaving Acoustic guitars, 3 part harmonies, and 3 interchanging lead singers make American Hologram a standout among Southeastern bands. The band formed after Britt’s album Greener came out in 2012, as Tanner and Scott began accompanying him live. They quickly branched into a band, with everyone bringing ideas and songs to the table. Since then, the trio has become a prolific songwriting outfit and preforms at venues around the Southeast, in addition to playing high profile shows in their hometown of Savannah.

The Brigands be a musical minded group, performing songs, Sea Shanties and tunes, lore and fact, from the Golden Age of Piracy, 1650 -1750 and beyond. They have been called the ultimate tavern band and that is what they aim for. The music heard dockside, in a drinking etablishment frequented by sailors, pirates, freebooters and smugglers alike, was not the music heard in the King’s court nor in the concert halls of the day. It was music for hard working and maybe hard chased men, looking to lift a tankard, seek out the fairer sex and forget for awhile the life at sea, be it hauling nitrates to Chile or luffing matches with a fat prize off the coast of Dry Tortuga. Thats what a Brigands show is like.
