Joint Base Andrews Naval Air Facility Washington, formerly Andrews Air Force Base, is a United States Air Force base and the home of Air Force One.
Over 60 units and special missions are currently located on Andrews. Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) is based at Andrews and manages the National Capital region of some 40,000 servicemen and women and 2,000 civilian employees. Many of these servicemen and women live and work within miles of the Base.
Total BRAC relocations are estimated to be in excess of 3,000 jobs with the primary relocation complete encompassing over 2,200 jobs into the Andrews area.

The Brick Yard, located just 10 miles northeast of Washington, D.C., incorporates 125-master planned acres of Urban Industrial and residential space on land that was originally home to the Washington Brick Company manufacturing facility and mine.
The Brick Yard Business Park is planned for more than 700,000 square feet of multi-purpose industrial buildings with 500,000 square feet recently completed. The Park includes office, warehouse, corporate and regional headquarters facilities. It is estimated that businesses in the park will employ more than 2,000 workers upon completion.
