But what is Amnesty International?

• Amnesty International is a global movement of more than 3 million supporters, members and activists fighting for the protection of internationally recognized human rights.

• There vision is a world where all people will enjoy all the rights recognized by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international standards. There core values of solidarity worldwide, impartiality and transparency, democracy and mutual respect.

Also….• Amnesty International takes action to

end grave abuses of human rights, such as physical and mental integrity, freedom of expression and conscience, freedom from discrimination. There work includes a very wide range of topics.

• Defend prisoners of conscience, violence, and poverty. They fight to end violence against women, the abolition of the death penalty, torture and restriction of freedoms in the name of the "war on terror." To combat discrimination against refugees, migrants, minorities, but and defenders of human rights.

• At the heart of Amnesty International is this idea: that they are at there most powerful when they stand together for human rights.
