A new partnership between the D.C. Department of Transportation
and the Georgetown Business Improvement District is promising
faster repairs to the neighborhood's brick sidewalks. (Georgetown

Dedicated bus lanes and other transit service improvements on a
stretch of 16th Street NW are due by2020, the D.C. Department of

OPINION (all editions) Editorial: It's too early to judge the
District harshly for its blizzard response, but we're disappointed
in
how it handled last week's dusting. Editorial: New leadership at
the DC Police Union gives us hope that there will be improved
relations
between officers and Metropolitan Police Department management
which would help us all. Sherwood: Spring may be in sight, but our
streets don't give much clue of that as snow cleanup drags
on.
SPORTS (Northwest Current, Georgetown Current) A National
Cathedral freshman took top honors at last Wednesday's Independent
School League
diving championship, drawing on years of experience both in that
sport and in gymnastics. Two cross-country stars have won two
consecutive D.C. Gatorade Player of the Year awards:
Sidwell's Taylor Knibb on the girls' side, and Georgetown Day's
Tristan Colaizzi on the boys'.
