Helping students better understand career options and possibilities is the goal of the Worlds of Work (WOW) Expo planned for March 19-20, 2020, at Calhoun Community College - Decatur Campus for 8th Grade Students of Huntsville City, Madison City, and Madison County Schools.
WOW is designed to expose youth to successful, in-demand careers while also providing employers the opportunity to connect with their future workforce. More than 4,000 8th Grade students from across Madison County are invited to attend and explore career opportunities available to them in North Alabama.
“Worlds” have been identified as potential career pathways to jobs in our region. Each world will provide hands-on demonstrations and interactive activities to provide career awareness for students.Worlds include: Agriculture, Communications & Media, Construction, Cyber Security & Information Technology, Energy & Utilities, Healthcare, Hospitality & Tourism, Manufacturing & Automotive, Public Service, Transportation & Logistics.
