The restaurant’s seafood dishes are the best sellers—particularly their ahi sandwich as well as their fresh halibut and salmon—and the oyster bar is a seafood lover’s delight.

patronage is testament to its longevity. “I think Ocean Festival is a matter of tradi-tion, and so many people who have come to the events pass it down to the next generations,” executive director of the fes-tival Peggy Vance said. Volunteers come in droves, and competitors have traveled from as far as Australia. Although rain hampered this year’s event, that didn’t stop attendees from enjoying the remainder of the festivi-ties when the lightning had settled.
