Christopher CillsDEFENSIVE BACK

Birth Date: Oct. 16, 1988Hometown: West Orange, NJHeight: 6’0Weight: 210Age: 22Class: Senior

Christopher is a quick footed hard hitting CB with good overall athletic ability. His footwork allows him to plant and drive and close fast on short routes. He also shows good change of direction when coming up against the run. Despite choppy footwork he has the ability to change direction and not lose widerecevers deep.

Christopher is a player that is tough, physical and has natural secondary skills. His physical ability allows him to fit in different defensive schemes. I look for him to fit in zone coverage’s and nickel and dime packages. On tape he reminds me of Bryant McFadden of the Steelers. Christopher will be a very effective next level player because of his versatility on special teams and SS and DB. Once he tweaks his footwork his production and impact at the point of attack will increase. Christopher in a 3-4 aggressive defense with zone coverage’s will improve quickly.

What do you like most about bodybuilding?Bodybuilding is a very physically and mentally challenging sport. I enjoy the constant challenges and changes I see in my body. I like to push myself to higher levels.

What keeps you motivated? My family and my dreams. My wife, kids, friends and training partners are very supportive of my goals.

What are your goals and dreams? To win my procard at a National level competition so that I may compete professionally.

What is your Nutrition and Training regime like?I train 5 days a week, multiple body parts. When I am on-season, I do cardio twice a day, 6 days a week. I eat 7-8 meals a day, consisting of high protein, moderate carbs and low fat. I weigh out my protein and my carbs..

How do you prepare meals? My wife cooks for me. Depending on the food, it is either daily or a few days at a time. With fish she will cook it daily, chicken a few days at a clip. I eat alot of protein though so it is hard to keep up.

What tips do you have for someone looking to compete in bodybuilding? You have to LOVE it and be totally dedicated to it or you will not be succesful. When your friends and family are eating out or celebrating, you have to deprive yourself. If your not able to be dedicated to the diet, you will fail, miserably. The diet is more important than what you do in the gym. All the weights in the world will not accomplish the look necessary to place in a body-building show.

What supplements do you use that give you great results? The basics are a good multi-vitamin, BCAA’s, Glutamine, Fat Burner, Pyruvate, Whey protein Shakes. I drink at least a gallon of water a day, usually 1 1/2- 2 gallons daily.

Ditch the Workout Join the Party® is the battle cry of the Zumba revolution. What is Zumba? Zumba is the dance/fitness workout that uses African beats and Latin rhythms to help participants get fit in a party like environment. Using an interval format each Zumba class combines dance and fitness moves for car-diovascular health, toning and strength building. Don’t be deceived by the excitement level you’ll encounter in each class, Zumba instructors are trained to make fit-ness fun. The creator of Zumba, Alberto “Beto” Perez stumbled upon the concept of Latin inspired fitness in his homeland of Columbia one day when he forgot his aerobics music. Grabbing what he could find from his car, traditional Latin music and meringue, a new ex-citement was born in his class that day. Building upon the Latin flavor and international zest Zumba was born.

IMPACTJust two years ago, less than one million people tried the Zumba workout. Today: Seven times that—in 60,000 locations in 105 countries.

It’s no wonder. The Zumba workout program, which combines Latin dance moves with resistance training, provides an intense workout no matter your fitness level (and no, you don’t have to be a seasoned salsa dancer to pick up the steps). It also burns anywhere from 400 to 500 calories per 45-minute session—or more, depend-ing on how intensely you move. Thanks to the upbeat music and “party” exercise atmosphere, Zumba also has the reputation for being one of the hottest (and most FUN) CARDIO WORKOUTS OUT THERE RIGHT NOW.

The creators of Zumba recently introduced Zumba Gold, a new version of the Latin-inspired workout, tailored to the needs of elders. Just like Zumba, it incorporates dance/fitness routines to Latin and international rhythms but is performed at a lower intensity. Trained Zumba fitness instructors at more than 2,000 locations nation-wide, including fitness clubs, community centers, YMCAs, rehabilitation centers, and retirement communities, offer the program.

“Zumba Gold is specifically targeted to the baby boom-er generation and beyond,” explains Diane Felkenes, a 51-year-old Zumba instructor who lost about 135 pounds doing the program. She also teaches Zumba Gold at a cardiac rehabilitation center. “Zumba Gold was born out of the fact that there were a lot of people who wanted to do Zumba but couldn’t keep up with the fast-moving pace or handle the impact of the regular version. I, myself, find Zumba Gold excellent, as I have some phys-ical limitations as a result of very bad knees. With this version, it’s a little gentler on the body, but you still get the full effect of the Latin flavor and the benefit of the moving and the dancing.”
