SUP YOGA Challenge your core muscles and learn Dharana (concentration) as

you try to stabilize yourself on a paddleboard floating in the water.

The motion of the water beneath you, the views of Diamond Head,

and the turquoise blue Pacific Ocean are all elements that make

SUP yoga special here in Hawaii.

SUNSET YOGA & BEACH YOGA Allow nature to help you tune into yourself as you practice outdoor moving meditations with the sun setting beyond the horizon. Feel the change in temperature on your skin, smell the fresh Hawaiian air. In

nature we connect to our own true nature more easily which reminds us how we are connected to each and every living thing around us.

AYURVEDA Ayurveda is aimed at the preservation of health and prevention of

disease by establishing balance and harmony through nutrition, herbs,

meditation, and daily routines. Ayurvedic science provides you with

the knowledge to bring balance into your physical, mental and

emotional bodies that empowers you to be your best self.

YOGA+HIKE SHORT TRIP This is a day trip with your teachers and fellow yogis to Lanikai for one

of Oahu’s more popular hikes on Oahu. The view as you look out

towards the islands known as "the Mokes" is definitely postcard

perfect. Following the hike, you will be treated to yoga asana,

pranayama and meditation at the beach.

THAI YOGA MASSAGE Thai yoga massage puts the recipient in a variety of yoga-like positions

during the course of the massage. The body is compressed, pulled,

stretched and rocked with some static and rhythmic pressure applied.

No oils or lotions are used and the recipient remains clothed during a

treatment. It has sometimes been referred to as "the lazy man's yoga".

PARTNER YOGA Partner Yoga brings people together through movement, play, breath,

touch and yes, intimacy. It can be practiced by any two people and is a

great way to strengthen a relationship by fostering trust and

communication.

Yogaloha Academy Main teacher

Courtney Wexler E-RYT200/RYT-500/Ayurveda Health Educator

Courtney Wexler has been practicing yoga for over fifteen

years in places including Los Angeles, New York, London, India and now Honolulu. In 2010, she received her 200-hour teaching certification through Aloha Yoga Kula in Kailua, Hawaii so that she could be a part of sharing this 5000-year-old secret with the world. In 2013 she received her Ayurvedic Health Educator certification through the California College of Ayurveda and in September of 2015 she studied at Asana Andiappan College of Yoga completing a 300-hour course with Yogananth Andiappan and his father, Guruji, in Chennai India. Other credits include completing 55 hours of study with Tiffany Cruikshank as well as completing 50 hours of studying Thai Massage from trainings in Thailand and Maui. Personally, yoga has helped Courtney find one-pointed focus while training and completing an Ironman triathlon, served in her recovery from marathon injuries and has reminded her in difficult situations to stop and take a breath.

Her students find her light-heartedness relatable to their own yoga journey and are drawn to the sthira (strength) and sukha (ease) she brings to her classes. Courtney is honored to be considered a yoga teacher, but relishes equally in being a student of yoga and of life each and every day.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

In order to receive your Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Certification your tuition must be paid in full and regular

attendance is required. Missing more than two days of training or missing practice teaching sessions could put

your certification in jeopardy. If, due to circumstances beyond your control, you are unable to attend a few

sessions, a reasonable effort will be made to allow you to make up the material, however there is no guarantee

that this will happen in time for you to graduate with your class. In addition to on-site training sessions, home

practice and independent study assignments are required to integrate the material learned in class.

You must demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of yogic concepts and practices by successfully

completing written and practical examinations. If necessary, you may re-take the exams until this understanding

is demonstrated. During mandatory practice teach sessions you must demonstrate an ability to guide and teach

yoga classes using the methodology presented in the training. All required work must be completed before

graduation.
