The MemorialCare Todd Cancer Institute (TCI) at Long Beach Memorial treats the mind, body and soul of its patients by incorporating complementary and alternative therapies with a patient’s medical treatment. To expand the capabilities of TCI even further, it will launch its Integrative Cancer Medicine Program, where alternative therapies including meditation, yoga, massage, energy medicine and nutrition support are added.
The Integrative Cancer Medicine Program gives TCI an opportunity to completely care for the patient by offering treatments with fewer side effects and promoting overall health and wellness in the same location they are receiving medical treatments. In order for TCI to stay at the forefront of cancer treatments, it is essential that the Integrative Cancer Medicine Program becomes available for cancer patients and survivors.
