Founded in 1984, Soniawear is a fully integrated knitted garment manufacturing company based in Mauritius, with a newly established production plant in Madagascar, Sonia Mada Textile, since 2012. From yarn to complete finished products, we have manufactured and exported an extensive range of apparel for the most notorious designer labels from all over the world. Throughout the years, we have followed the principles of high reliability and quality which lead our factory to become one of the most reputable textile companies of the island.

The entire product and all its features are developed in-house at our factory, with the help of highly sophisticated industrial machinery. We tailor our services and production procedures to each client’s needs, developing prototypes and samples from the conception stage to the final design and manufacturing bulk orders. Our vertically integrated system starts from knitting the fabrics, going through all the stages of manufacturing until the packing of the finished product.

KniTTing

Due to the versatility of its equipment, Soniawear is able to achieve different products, with a wide range of colours, textures and weight. Circular or flat knit machines are used to achieve the desired cloth finish.

dYeing

Soniawear carries out all its dyeing activities, including rope and yarn dyeing in its 12,000 m2 dye house situated in Phoenix. Its dyeing laboratory includes top technology equipment to formulate recipes and carry out all required tests on dyed products.

The use of automatic Lectra machines allows for precision, speed and flexibility during the cutting stage.

sewing

The use of the best machines available allow for quality sewing. The company also has a great quantity of sewing machines, giving it a substantial production capacity.

washing

The machines are versatile and can operate at varying speeds, depending on the type of dyeing, finishing and fibre. These machines also use less water and have a minor ecological impact.

The machines are designed for ease of use and flexibility with regard to size and inclination. The automation also provides high levels of efficiency and allows for subsequent energy saving.
